Evangeline or Alexa?

Hi, am new on here but thought I’d give starting a thread a go as I’ve been loving reading the baby name ones Me and DH both love Evangeline and Alexa but are having problems choosing between them. Whilst I love how beautiful Evangeline is I’m worried it’s a bit long and frilly whereas Alexa (nn Lexie) gives the impression (at least to me) of someone strong. Middle name would be Violet, although this isn’t set in stone, and would love to hear what you guys think

I’m not keen on Evangeline. I like the nicknames Eva, Evie etc but they’re so popular now. Really like Nina and Violet. How about Scarlett?

I had the same thought about Alexa and Amazon as soon as I started reading. I like Violet. What about Evelyn?

I prefer Viola to Violet, but Vi is still cool.

Evangeline is lovely, it means bearer of good news and there's a rather famous old poem by Longfellow called Evangeline too. I like Violet as well. Not so keen on Alexa although it's a perfectly nice name, it's just the Amazon connection isn't great right now.

Another nickname I've heard for Evangeline is Lina (rhymes with Nina).

@MrsRachel85 for some reason DH has vetoed Scarlett (probably pent up sexual frustration concerning Scarlett O’Hara- who knows )

I know someone who called their daughter Everly recently, which I think is beautiful.
