Hi all,
I will be having a baby girl in November and my DH and I are struggling with names. If you were having a baby girl and your last name was Stephens, what would you name her? My current shortlist consists of Elizabeth, Esme, Iris and Robyn but I am totally open to any suggestions. I also liked Alice but I think the 's' sound at the end blends into the 's' at the beginning of Stephens too much.
I have namechanged to try to preserve some anonymity!

I immediately thought of Octavia. No idea why! I think Octavia (Ottie for short) Stephens sounds great!

Iris has the same issue as Alice.
I think all your names are nice - but Robyn would be my pick. I imagine there are lots of Elizabeth Stephens out there, if popularity bothers you.

For some reason Marianne popped into my head.

Lucy, Amy, Emily, Sophia, Jessica, Isla, Grace

I don't like Robyn followed by Stephens, it sounds a bit masculine. Esme hasa slight blending effect too, but like Alice it doesn't sound bad. Iris Stephens is particularly pretty.

Wow, there's some lovely suggestions on here, I particularly like Imogen, Emmeline, Sophia, Violet and Madeline so far. They all work much better than most of the names we had come up. Thanks all, I can feel my name choosing mojo starting to come back Smile

Ooh and Kitty is a lovely name too, maybe Katherine as a long version? That's also going on the list!

I was going to suggest Rachel, as well. However. If my memory serves me right. Was there not a singer in the early-mid 2000s called Rachel Stephens. Its Still a nice name, though and Rachel is long overdue a come back.
