Hi all,
We don’t yet know the sex of our baby but have begun discussing baby names.
We like the name Poppy for sentimental reasons as we found out about her/him when the baby was the size of a Poppy seed and the nickname has just stuck. My gut feeling is that it’s a girl so...
What do you think of the name Poppy? And
Can you think of a middle name? (Surname begins with a W so no “E” names... don’t want a PEW baby haha!

Thanks!

My grandmother was one of four girls. They were Ivy, Hazel, Iris and Fern.

It is a twee name for children but if I met an adult Poppy I think it sounds like a really friendly upbeat name.

I know a few Poppy's adult and child.

I like the idea that Poppy's are a symbol of boldness and strength. And that they thrive anywhere.

I think of adult Poppy's as friendly, genial and vibrant.

It does make me think Ploppy/Poppy Pants. I call my DC Poppy Pants when they’ve got wind.

Exactly! They are beautiful and delicate but thrive in unexpected places. A wonderful symbol of hope.
