Currently on the list are:
Ashley
Blair
Sophia
Alexis
Isabelle
Stella
Caroline
Annabelle
Hayley
Madeleine
Tiffany
Juliet

Our favourites at the moment are Ashley and Blair. What does everyone think? Which are your favourites?

Also, any middle name suggestions?

That’s quite a mix of names.

Stella and Madeleine.
Or
Isabelle and Madeleine.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 10/05/2018 18:51

Caroline and Juliet.
I also love Stella.

Caroline Sophia and Juliet Tiffany.
Stella Blair.

I like as pairs:
Annabelle and Madeleine
Isabelle and Juliet

manicinsomniac · 10/05/2018 21:39

Ashley and Blair work well together, I think. Are you American? I only know one little girl called Ashley in the UK and her mum is Canadian. I've only come across Blair on Gossip Girl Blush

Middle names:
Ashley Elizabeth and Blair Alexandra
Ashley Marie and Blair Isabella

Also from your list, I think these would make great pairs:
Alexis Hope and Madeleine Grace
Sophia Jane and Isabella Kathryn
Annabelle Rose and Juliet Elizabeth
Hayley Belle and Alexis Star

Sophia & Annabelle Smile

bluechameleon · 10/05/2018 22:49

I like Caroline, Juliet, Annabelle (though I prefer the spelling 'Annabel') and Madeleine.

photographyaddict · 10/05/2018 22:52

Sophia and Isabelle! As for the middle names I love the idea of Sophia Grace and Isabelle Rose :)

ooobisto · 11/05/2018 01:08

Mia and Cara (means My Love)

talimom500 · 11/05/2018 02:58

Annabelle and Juliet. Or Sophia and Juliet. As long as one of them is Juliet. 😊

TroubledLichen · 11/05/2018 03:11

From your list I like Annabelle, Madeleine and Juliet.

Tiffany, Hayley and Ashley scream 1980s sitcom. Sorry but I think they’re very dated. Sophia and Isabelle are bland and over used. Personally I dislike Stella, Alexis and Blair. Can’t decide if Caroline is gorgeous and way overdue for a comeback or whether it belongs with the naff 80s names. I certified haven’t heard it on anyone under 40.

ThreeAfter30 · 11/05/2018 07:17

I think Ashley and Annabelle sound lovely

Blondie87 · 11/05/2018 07:22

Love Juliet and Annabelle. Think Jules and Bella are sweet nns.

pilates · 11/05/2018 08:42

Quite a mixed bag of names but I would go for Sophia and Madeleine

peytonlia · 11/05/2018 12:44

Some lovely suggestions, thanks all!

Juliet seems to be a favourite, which is nice to hear – DH and I love the name. Annabelle, Madeleine and Stella also seem very much liked. Tiffany, Hayley, Caroline and Ashley have been cut from the list. We are still considering Blair however, DH really loves it. Neither of us are American by the way, just liked the names. Definitely going to name them reverse alphabetically as suggested, thanks for the advice! Hadn’t actually considered that yet.

So, I think we have narrowed it down to the following combinations (with middle names):
Juliet Billie and Annabelle Blair
Juliet Renee and Stella Madeleine
Stella Juliet and Blair Isabelle
Sophia Billie and Blair Madeleine
Blair Evangeline and Annabelle Jo
Blair Evangeline and Alexis Sophia

Any thoughts? Favourite combos? DS1 and 2 are Nicholas and Stefan.

Forgot to mention their names in my OP.

Stella Blair and Juliet Raine

RavenWings · 11/05/2018 17:49
  1. Blair Evangeline and Alexis Sophia
  2. Stella Juliet and Blair Isabelle
  3. Juliet Renee and Stella Madeleine

Blair Evangeline is nicer than Blair Isabelle imo, also prefer Stella Madeleine to Stella Juliet.

Blair and Stella

FizzyGreenWater · 11/05/2018 18:09

I see where you're trying to go with the Blair thing, it's really elegant in a way but Blair itself just is somehow not good. In a lot of accents, it will just come out as sounding like Blur or Bleurgh.

How about Blythe or Blanche? Love both of those and they have a real vibe with both Juliet and Stella?

Juliet Blythe and Stella Blanche

Blythe Evangeline and Juliet Stella

Juliet and Blythe
Juliet and Blanche
Stella and Blythe
Stella and Blanche

or

Stella and Juliet

AnElderlyLadyOfMediumHeight · 11/05/2018 18:12

Ashley and Blair are awful. Sorry. From your list I'd pick Sophia and Madeleine - both lovely names. (You do have rather eclectic taste in names! Grin )

If I had twin girls tomorrow they would be Anna Miranda and Nina Rosalind.

AnElderlyLadyOfMediumHeight · 11/05/2018 18:15

Sorry, just seen your second post. The only combination I anywhere near like is Stella Madeleine.

namechangedtoday15 · 11/05/2018 18:24

I agree that Blair is very American and Dynasty-esque. I always look at the shortening/ nicknames that go with a name (now have teenage twins and whilst I've been quite controlling so far about only ever using full names, friends have started using shortened versions which I realise I can't stop!). Do you like Jules / Ju, and Bel Ellie etc for Annabelle?

I like Sophia albeit it's VERY popular here at the moment and I like Stella too. That's quite difficult to shorten!

daisypond · 11/05/2018 18:25

Blair is awful. It's a surname, reminds me of Tony Blair, and would be a bleurgh sound in lots of accents. Blythe is loads better, as suggested. Juliet and Stella are both very nice. Annabelle is fine, but I think Annabel is better. Sophia is nice, and Alexis is fine. But I don't like any of your combinations apart from Stella Madeleine, Stella Juliet and Alexis Sophia.

FizzyGreenWater · 11/05/2018 18:27

I know a Stella who is Stells! Argh

TroubledLichen · 11/05/2018 18:46

Annabelle Blair (if you love Blair then it’s better as a middle name in my opinion) and Juliet Renee are my favourites.
