Romilly
Rowena
Ferne

DH won’t consider them. Rowena is my favourite from that list but he thinks it sounds like a wicked witch type character from a Disney film.

My criteria is that it’s a name that isn’t top 50 but isn’t that unheard of that people say ‘oh, that’s unusual’ in a sneery tone.

(DH has been sent away to come up with a few fecking ideas if his own rather than dismissing all of mine).

I do like the name Verity but wonder if it sounds a bit posh/Mayfair? (Of which I’m neither Grin).

I love Cassia but have read on here a few times that it’s not a ‘proper’ name and is a brand of laxative. Haven’t googled yet to see if that’s correct or not!

I also like Juliet but hate Jules (I know I can’t control nn’s when she starts school etc). It is a contender though and a name that DH would probably go for.

I also like the name Meredith but a family member already has a DD called that. Other names I like but can’t use are Thea, Merryn & Marnie.

Thanks for the suggestions so far Smile

Verity is lovely, very classy and well known but not much used. It would suit a posh girl but not out of place if you're not.
