Romilly
Rowena
Ferne

DH won’t consider them. Rowena is my favourite from that list but he thinks it sounds like a wicked witch type character from a Disney film.

My criteria is that it’s a name that isn’t top 50 but isn’t that unheard of that people say ‘oh, that’s unusual’ in a sneery tone.

(DH has been sent away to come up with a few fecking ideas if his own rather than dismissing all of mine).

Ooh love pp suggestion of Saskia! I also love Cassia, and definitely don't think of it as a made up name.

If you like Cassia but aren't sure, how about Kezia?

I heard the name Kinvara and thought it was lovely-it’s a place in Ireland I think.

Saskia is lovely.

RosieLig · 06/05/2018 12:13

Or Rowan is pretty.

@HeyDolly re the laxative thing, Cassia is the name for the genus of plant, including Senna (which is a laxative). I'd say it is quite a tenuous link. It is a form of cinnamon.

Kinvara is in Galway, Ireland.
Outside Galway city.
