Well we've finally decided on a name for our little girl x Laura, what does everyone think when they hear it

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Lovely name

sycamore54321 · 03/05/2018 01:09

Another positive vote; it's beautiful.

I think Frances or Marianne would be lovely middle names with it.

Amomentofbeauty · 03/05/2018 01:10

I love it! I don't understand why it's not more popular.

blairsey · 03/05/2018 01:11

I think its a bit dated, much prefer Lara or Lauren. Though its still a nice name. Some middle names that would sound lovely would be:
Laura Jo
Laura Renée
Laura Madeleine
Laura Michelle
Laura Jane
Laura Elise

fearfultrill · 03/05/2018 01:15

Such a timeless name!

Middle name ideas:

Laura Charlotte
Laura Jane
Laura Louise
Laura Marie
Laura Giselle

❤️ Laura, gorgeous name.
Laura Eloise
Laura Josephine
Laura Daisy
Laura Jasmine

AHintOfStyle · 03/05/2018 07:07

Laura is lovely.

Laura Elizabeth

Pompom42 · 03/05/2018 07:07

I'm not a fan sorry but don't listen to me as majority like it. It reminds me of school days in the 80s when everyone was Laura, Lisa, Michelle, Karen, Debbie etc

bananaramasllama · 03/05/2018 07:11

Beautiful name

FabalaTheGreenGirl · 03/05/2018 07:11

I'm Laura. All Laura's I've ever met have been amazing ;).

BangingOn · 03/05/2018 07:13

I think it’s lovely, both Laura and Lara are amongst my favourite names.

PandaCat · 03/05/2018 07:13

It's my middle name, I don't like it! If you love it though definitely don't let anyone change your mind. I like a PP suggestion of Laura Jane

FabalaTheGreenGirl · 03/05/2018 07:14

Re: middle names (poster above), I'm Laura Margaret. I never liked "Margaret" but now I look at it written down it does have a nice ring to it! Aren't middle names usually taken from other family members though?

Elllicam · 03/05/2018 07:21

Lovely name and so unusual nowadays. I like someone’s suggestion of Laura Juliet

DuchyDuke · 03/05/2018 07:22

I think it is a bit dated to be honest. I prefer Lauren.

Belindabauer · 03/05/2018 07:24

It's a classic name.
Very popular around 20 years ago.

userabcname · 03/05/2018 07:27

I like it. A classic.

BakedBeeeen · 03/05/2018 07:29

I really like Laura.
My DD also has a classic name that was very popular 20 years ago but not now. Everyone always comments on how it's a lovely name but not very common now. I love how she will be the only one in her class, but not because it's an odd name! Also everyone knows how to spell it!

StillMissV · 03/05/2018 07:32

Beautiful name Smile

Yogagirl123 · 03/05/2018 07:36

Lovely name. Every Laura I know is lovely.

RedDwarves · 03/05/2018 07:37

I'm not a fan, personally. It still seems quite outdated to me, and not the "classic" others on this thread are claiming it to be. Classics are never out of fashion, but Laura has had a burst in popularity, followed by a steep decline, which makes it more cyclical and less classic.

I prefer Lauren, though think that is still outdated too.

SoyDora · 03/05/2018 07:39

I really like it, it’s a really pretty name.

lovelyjubilly · 03/05/2018 07:43

I'm a 35yo Laura Jane and I grew up hating how boring my name was.

That was entirely due to its popularity though so I'm sure today I would probably like it.

N2986 · 03/05/2018 07:47

I like Laura Elizabeth too. Lovely name

Vanannabananna · 03/05/2018 07:49

I liked Laura, was on our list. We went with Kate in the end though.
