With James as a middle name?
DP loves it, I move between loving it and feeling like it's a bit too bold. Thoughts?

Too harsh. I see a stern Russian fella lol

redmini4 · 27/04/2018 22:23

Meldrew!!!
Seriously though I know of an elderly man with the name and he's horrible. So, no from me

Nogodsnomasters · 27/04/2018 22:35

Sorry don't like it. James is lovely though 😊

MargotLovedTom1 · 27/04/2018 22:36

Absolutely awful.

BabloHoney · 27/04/2018 22:38

I’ll go against the popular opinion here and say i think it’s lovely! Bit different but not too out there. I don’t think many people under 30 will think of the Meldrew association either

PetraRabbit · 27/04/2018 22:55

I like it. Different, strong and I like a name beginning with V.

Peta11 · 27/04/2018 23:19

Horrible name.

DramaAlpaca · 27/04/2018 23:29

I dislike it, sorry. Vincent is nicer, less harsh sounding. I love James though.

Like it. Vic for short.

Hazandduck · 28/04/2018 01:08

I like Victor! We had Vincent on our list if we had a boy, I like names beginning with V, they seem just the right amount of different.

toffee1000 · 28/04/2018 01:29

Victor’s a great name, my cousin has it.

stellinaa · 28/04/2018 02:56

Not a fan. Much prefer Vincenzo nn. Enzo / Vince. :)

Oysterbabe · 28/04/2018 07:21

I like it.

Downeyhouse · 28/04/2018 07:26

I know a lovely teen called Victor. Cool kid, bright, handsome and well mannered.
Therefore I have positive associations with the name and like it .

Hellywelly10 · 28/04/2018 07:28

Its very polish. I like it.

Marbles321 · 28/04/2018 07:41

Thanks guys! It's a real marmite name isn't it? We are after something strong and masculine, but want to avoid anything that is too common or too "out there". I also like Fredrick but DP isn't keen. Other thought was Dominic, but that's possibly a bit 'fancy ' Wink. Grateful for any other suggestions that come to mind along those lines though!
