With James as a middle name?
DP loves it, I move between loving it and feeling like it's a bit too bold. Thoughts?

Ooh I like Magnus. We also love Marcus but it doesn't work with our surname.

This. This is what I think when I think of Victor -

TatianaLarina · 28/04/2018 16:30

Much prefer James, why not do it the other way round?

TatianaLarina · 28/04/2018 16:34

Like Magnus a lot.

Marbles321 · 28/04/2018 16:44

@Tatiana my brothers name is James and we are set on it as a middle name regardless of first name. I wonder if all the connotations of Victor will be gone with the next generation? I have never met a Victor which is one of the reasons I like it actually as it has a very clean, strong sound. I think dp just likes it because it means winner! 😂

I like Victor. To me, it's in the same category as Arthur, Alfred, Stanley etc, all of which have come back into fashion. There's no reason why Victor shouldn't make a comeback, too. It's a nice, strong name.

I like it in a French way. Victor Hugo, not so sure about in UK.

It sounds a bit aggressive or like a name from Gladiators.

Elmo303 · 28/04/2018 18:26

I agree with flytrap I think it will be the next old school name to make a come back. It’s a brilliant strong sounding name, love the nickname Vic and I reckon you’ll be ahead of the game if you choose it Smile

Ceebs85 · 28/04/2018 18:27

I like it. Its on my shortlist

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 28/04/2018 18:52

Love Victor, use it OP.

Ickyockycocky · 28/04/2018 18:54

Awful name.

UserThenLotsOfNumbers · 28/04/2018 18:56

My lovely step granddad was called Victor. It's not a bad name as such just dated.
I wouldn't name a baby Victor.

Marbles321 · 28/04/2018 19:08

Thanks guys! We are going to wait until we meet the little man but i think it's still top of the list for now Smile
