What could Lou be short for - girl

Other than Louise / Louisa. Lou or Lu, only names i can think of are Tallulah, and Lula, any more possible names that could achieve this shortening? Think it's a bit short on it's own. Thanks

I love Eloise but has been vetoed! Do you think it could work as a middle name, eg Amy Lou, Emma Lou, etc ?

I once went to a party with DH's ex work colleagues all of whom had had baby girls in the same year. They were called: Layla, Leila, Lila, Lola and Lula - and none of them even noticed how similar they all were.

Lu or Lulu is one of names I call dd. It is not related to her actual name in any way whatsoever. Call your baby anything you fancy, but don't assume that short versions will be the ones you would prefer!

I have a lucy and find myself calling her lou for short. It wasnt planned but just happened. I dont associate it with a toilet

I know several Lous. Male and female (one man is a Lew). Its a normal nickname for several given names. I know a Lulu too. None of them remind me of toilets.

Same here @ShowOfHands. I’ve had a friend called Lou for 20yrs and I’ve never once thought of her as “Toilet” GrinConfused

Lulabelle. I mean, I wouldn't, but you could call her that.

I do quite like Luella but my top choice would be Lucy.
