Esther?

Onceuponatimethen · 31/03/2018 19:43

If you want a glam cool name what about something like Vita or Viva?

linz0308 · 31/03/2018 19:44

no

Twinkie1 · 31/03/2018 19:45

DD shared her party with another girl who invited her cousin, Vesper, there were lots of raised eyebrows and mentions of mopeds.

Nandocushion · 31/03/2018 19:46

Varsha?

RockafellerSkank · 31/03/2018 19:52

Love it.

MrsHarker · 31/03/2018 20:56

I love it

PunkrockerGirl59 · 31/03/2018 21:06

Grim.
Why on earth would you saddle your child with a name she'll spend the rest of her life having to explain/spell?
If you feel the need to be so 'out there' change your own name and deal with it, not the poor baby.

Chocolateyescakeyes · 31/03/2018 21:13

Unusual, but that’s better than having the same popular name as another 10 girls at her school.

JennyHolzersGhost · 31/03/2018 21:13

You do get the tacky sexual connotations of naming a girl after a bike, don’t you OP?

Neolara · 31/03/2018 21:16

Dreadful

pepperpot99 · 31/03/2018 21:19

Vespers is the name of one of the Christian services in a monastery. Calling your dd 'Vespers' would therefore be ridiculous.

pepperpot99 · 31/03/2018 21:22

You may as well call her 'psalm' or 'evensong'.

littlebillie · 31/03/2018 21:24

Vespa - evening prayer beautiful.

Uniglo18 · 31/03/2018 21:34

I used to know a Vida in college. Vespa is too Bond girl and also with the scooter reference it's too try hard.

I like it but would also be concerned about the teasing later in life.

I thought Eva Green was fabulous so I’d go for Eva!

Uniglo18 · 31/03/2018 21:46

Yes Eva is a good idea and not so much as an obvious Bond reference as Vespa.

AndromedaPerseus · 31/03/2018 21:51

Love it and she was JB’s first love

TossDaily · 31/03/2018 21:54

Vesper was the name of a brand of pantyliner back in the 80s.

Anxiouschild · 31/03/2018 22:47

How about Vester as an alternative OP? A nice and little-used name IMO. DH vetoed it
I like Vesper but, as with a PP, it's too tied to Bond in my mind.

BikeRunSki · 31/03/2018 22:55

Vespa = moped
Vesper = evening prayers, or a type of cocktail
Vesper Lynd = Bond girl with made up name
Vesta = curry

Ginger1982 · 31/03/2018 23:19

My God, don't do it!!

MollyHuaCha · 31/03/2018 23:31

How about Vanessa instead?

Onceuponatimethen · 31/03/2018 23:34

Love Vanessa
