Everest?

DH and I can’t decide on any names at all for either sex. It’s getting ridiculous with approx 6 weeks to go, if I follow my first.

My 2.5 year old says the baby is called Everest (yes, from paw patrol 🙈). In my madness I’m actually considering it. Is this just hormones and desperation clouding my judgement. Or would it be acceptable?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Tinseltower · 31/03/2018 08:45

I like it!

Rainboho · 31/03/2018 08:46

Go have a lie down - you need it Wink

What about Evie? Or Ever?

HangtheblessedDJ · 31/03/2018 08:46

No. This is your desperation talking.

Raines100 · 31/03/2018 08:47

Hormones...

Aprilmightmemynewname · 31/03/2018 08:47

Yabu when Marshall and Ryder are just as nice!!

PintOfCalpol · 31/03/2018 08:47

Calling a baby after a paw patrol character is indeed hormones gone mad.

What would you abbreviate it to? ever? Rest?

What is he is hugely fat or tall? What a name to live with.

But maybe take inspiration from the theme. What about calling him Edmund (after Edmund Hillary the Everest explorer)?

whinetime89 · 31/03/2018 08:48

I prefer Skye (may be biased as that is my middle name 😂😂😂)

TatianaLarina · 31/03/2018 08:49

Hormones, call him Everest at home.

BrutusMcDogface · 31/03/2018 08:49

I recently heard a name on here that i hadn't heard before: Everley. That's quite similar! But I do think you might regret calling a baby after a paw patrol character Grin

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 31/03/2018 08:51

My DCs are too old for Paw Patrol so to me it was double glazing adverts that sprung to mind Grin

PeonyTruffle · 31/03/2018 08:53

Haaaaa. No. Just no.

Don’t do it! Grin

Naberes · 31/03/2018 09:41

Everett?

Popadoodledoo · 31/03/2018 09:54

I definitely don't like it. All I kee thinking of is MOUNT

I agree I think this is the desperation talking Grin

helpmum2003 · 31/03/2018 09:57

Double glazing here as well. Can you tell us 1st dc name?

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 31/03/2018 09:59

You've got 6 weeks to go, some other name will pop into your head by then. Smile

GnotherGnu · 31/03/2018 10:08

Imagine if it's a girl and people keep going on about Mount Everest. She'll hate you for it.

MinisterforCheekyFuckery · 31/03/2018 10:19

It's the hormones talking! Don't do it! Grin

Sophronia · 31/03/2018 10:23

How about Everett or Everly instead?

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 31/03/2018 10:41

It's nice, but You'll be forever asked if he/she was conceived on there.Grin

readysetcake · 31/03/2018 10:49

Oh god, Mount Everest 😂😩🙈 yes, you’re all right, I’m totally desperate. And being completely unreasonable and ridiculous as my DD is is already and Ev name even if it was a normal name. I know we will come up with something eventually and 6 weeks is a long time. I just can’t see it at the moment. Why do I like no names? Let alone one we both agree on. sigh

Only as a middle name and only if one of you has actually been up there.
I'm a fan of slightly bonkers middle names.

AuntieStella · 31/03/2018 13:39

I think the idea from PintOfCalpol of Edmond or Hilary is inspired!

MrsJoshDun · 31/03/2018 13:41

Hormones.

If kid turns out to be a short arse they will not thank you....infact they won’t thank you if they’re 6ft2” either. It’s a shit name.
