How popular is Alice? Do you know of any babies called Alice?

It was our girls name for DS1 and DS2, so never got used. Beautiful name Smile

formerbabe · 15/03/2018 17:00

It should be a pretty name but I actually find it really twee and frumpy.

Lindah1 · 15/03/2018 17:08

Lovely name but I can only think of the song sorry

Sarahh2014 · 15/03/2018 17:18

Yep I can picture Roy chubby brown singing that song now.sorry op

It’s a perfectly nice name but it’s certainly not rare as it’s been suggested as it’s currently ranked 17th. It is pretty but a bit blah imo.

BlancheM · 15/03/2018 17:22

I know a couple.

AnyaMoondial · 15/03/2018 17:27

Oh my goodness, I know loads. And it's tipped to be the next royal baby name so is set to rocket.

It's nice though.

StealthPolarBear · 15/03/2018 17:32

It's 8year old dds name.
Why do people think it'll be the next royal baby name?

RuthW · 15/03/2018 17:42

I love it but makes me think of the Brownie song Alice the Camel' and the f word song.

NewtScamandersNaughtyNiffler · 15/03/2018 17:45

I know 2 baby Alice's. One is about 2 years old and one is 7 months.

Figgygal · 15/03/2018 17:46

I don't know any and none in my ds school class or ds2 nursery

I would have used it had I had a girl

Strax · 15/03/2018 17:47

Ruth my DM used to sing Alice the camel to my Alice when she was a baby/toddler, she loved it! I'd never heard it before then.

MollyHuaCha · 15/03/2018 17:50

Nice name.

thismeansnothing · 15/03/2018 17:53

My 6year old niece is an Alice
There's one in dds school in juniors
My friend has an Alice who's 6 month

Tfoot75 · 15/03/2018 17:53

I have one, she’s 2. Know of a few others of a similar age but don’t know them directly. Royal baby names are pretty predictable as they’re traditionalists - George and Charlotte were the shortest odds and those were the ones they went with, so expect the odds on names (Alice and Mary) will be chosen this time as well!

Nemophilist · 15/03/2018 18:01

Love Alice only know 1 and she's 15.

JumpingFrogs · 15/03/2018 18:35

My Alice is 15. We've met a few over the years but there was only one year where she had another Alice in her class. I think it's pretty but not too flowery. My Alice is happy with it !

mimibunz · 15/03/2018 18:36

My gran’s name (now deceased), born in 1915.

LastNightsMakeUp · 15/03/2018 19:09

I know one 2 year old Alice and 2 Alice’s in their late 30’s

insancerre · 15/03/2018 19:13

I have one who is an adult
I work with children and ive only ever come across one in20 plus years

SuperBeagle · 15/03/2018 20:25

I love Alice.

I went to school with one, so she'd be in her 30s now. Aside from that, I only know a couple in their early/mid 20s.

aliceinwonderlandbrum · 15/03/2018 20:33

My name! Always liked it!

Discobabe98 · 15/03/2018 20:41

I know 9 Alice’s and an AlysGrin All of them are teenagers/ early twenties except the Alys who is 6. It’s also my middle name and I really like it. But seem to be a good few around here!

Dauphinois · 15/03/2018 20:45

It's gorgeous.

I know one 3 year old in the UK and a 2 year old in the US.

I work in a School and it's certainly not overused round here.

Blushingm · 15/03/2018 22:11

I'm a grown up called Alice. When I was growing up it was very unusual but I know about of teens and an 9 year old Alice - and a Nigerian lady older than me
