Awwwwww, Sarah thats so adorable.

I love lambs. Theyre delicious, so innocent and pure, well like all babies.

sundowners · 14/03/2018 13:11

Violet by a mile... Flowers

Greenglassteacup · 14/03/2018 13:13

I don’t like the ‘vile’ sound in violet

TatianaLarina · 14/03/2018 13:33

Vi-olet not Vilet.

MonsteraDeliciosa · 14/03/2018 14:15

It's not Vilet Confused

Greenglassteacup · 14/03/2018 16:29

That’s how it would be pronounced in some parts of the Uk though

Winchester13 · 14/03/2018 16:30

Violet

Winchester13 · 14/03/2018 16:30

Or Viola is nice too

Starlive22 · 14/03/2018 16:31

Oh ❤️ both beautiful names OP I love them both! I'd say violet but I'm a bit biased as that's my nieces middle name.

Have you got any middle names?

Greenglassteacup · 14/03/2018 16:34

Vile- ett

Greenglassteacup · 14/03/2018 16:35

Isn’t that how a lot of people pronounce it? Rather than Vio-lette

RebelRogue · 14/03/2018 16:37

Iris but I'm biased.Grin

jess91 · 14/03/2018 17:08

Violet is 3 syllables with a schwa: Vi-O-Let. I'd not let incorrect pronunciation of the name put you off using it. Violet would be my pick but I'm biased as it'll be our daughter's first or middle name.

TatianaLarina · 14/03/2018 17:30

Who says Vi-let? It’s just wrong.

Greenglassteacup · 14/03/2018 17:39

There’s a girl in my child’s school called Violet & everyone seems to pronounce it Vile-ett. Northern UK here

VileyRose · 14/03/2018 17:41

My DDs name. Never heard anyone say Vile-let lol

Littlemum2be86 · 14/03/2018 18:43

My niece is called violet so I’m slightly biased but I love it! I’d have used it if my sister hadn’t got there first!

LoveInTokyo · 14/03/2018 18:48

I like both.

I live in France so I could never use Violet because it literally means the colour purple and is pronounced Vee-oh-lay.

Bear that in mind if you think you might spend any significant time in France.

TatianaLarina · 14/03/2018 19:19

But you could use Violette as in Szabo.

In France you just explain it’s pronounced as Violette rather than Violay.
