Love both but prefer Ophelia. Congratulations

userabcname · 28/02/2018 06:00

Ophelia

SuperBeagle · 28/02/2018 06:02

Ophelia.

Otherwise, Josephine with the nickname Posy.

FogCutter · 28/02/2018 06:23

Prefer Ophelia, posy sounds too twee and makes me think of posing/ poser which isn't a good association.

Twooter · 28/02/2018 06:24

Like superbeagle’s suggestion

Chocolatecake12 · 28/02/2018 06:27

Ophelia is lovely and will suit her as an adult too. Posie is lovely for a small girl but too twee for a teenager or adult.
Congratulations

HuskyMcClusky · 28/02/2018 06:28

Ophelia

Agree wuth tweeness factor of Posie.

BUNMUM · 28/02/2018 06:29

Love Ophelia.
Congratulations 🎊

ChocolateCrunch · 28/02/2018 06:47

I think I'd choose Ophelia over Posy, but only just. Can you use Posy as a middle name? Congratulations!

Sophronia · 28/02/2018 11:38

Ophelia. Congrats!

bridgetreilly · 28/02/2018 11:40

Ophelia.

Or something else with Posie as a nickname. Rosalind, Rosamund, Rosalie etc.

Redpramlady · 28/02/2018 11:42

A family member who is an author uses posie as her main leading lady,
Check out the posie Parker mysteries.
She's not twee!

Viviennemary · 28/02/2018 11:42

I agree Posie is a bit twee but it's OK. Ophelia is a bit too grand for me I'd say.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 28/02/2018 11:43

Not keen on Ophelia. I think Posy is lovely.

daisypond · 28/02/2018 11:46

Ophelia is terrible! It either makes you look ignorant (never heard of/read/seen Hamlet so don't know Ophelia's story) or pretentious (have heard of/read/seen Hamlet and want everyone to know it). So Posie - but spell it properly - Posy. But I'm not keen as it's too cutesy for my taste.

CoodleMoodle · 28/02/2018 11:47

Ophelia. It's on my list if DC2 is a girl but DH doesn't like it. I like Posie, but DD is Rosie and sometimes gets called Rosie Posie (she likes it at the moment, but I don't thinks she will when she's older!).

Oly5 · 28/02/2018 11:48

Ophelia. Beautiful name. Posy is not a name for an adult

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 28/02/2018 12:22

Agree, Josephine (Posy).

Lifeaback · 28/02/2018 13:50

I love Ophelia and think it's a good adult name whereas posie is lovely but very 'cutesy'

DreamingOfAHotBeach · 28/02/2018 13:56

Ophelia! Congrats

BelindasRedPlasticHandcuffs · 28/02/2018 14:10

Another for Josephine (Posie). Congratulations! Thanks

paddlingwhenIshouldbeworking · 28/02/2018 14:14

Ophelia.

Posie is just too twee.

Suburbanfocks · 28/02/2018 14:18

I was going to go with Poésie but I had a boy.
I like both your choices!

shetookshelter · 28/02/2018 14:20

Is Posie really a name? I hate it! Sounds like poser!

Ophelia is nice though.

Dixiestampsagain · 28/02/2018 14:39

Posie does sound cute, but it just reminds me of the Flumps (although it’s way more ‘usable’ than Pootle and Perkin!).
