Middle name will probably be Mabel or Florence...

Just found out I'm pregnant but had names picked for years!

Polly!

Polly Florence or I do like Polly Elizabeth (Elizabeth maybe a bit predictable in the middle though?)

Andthen · 15/02/2018 09:04

I have a six year old Polly. She loves her name and we have only met about four others in her life (all adults). She gets very excited whenever she meets one! Despite it being an uncommon name at the moment, everyone can spell it - win win.

fearfultrill · 15/02/2018 09:26

Alice

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 15/02/2018 18:29

Polly Mabel is nice !

BlackberryandNettle · 15/02/2018 22:04

Emily or Polly. All nice though. Polly is probably less commonly used

Afternoon · 15/02/2018 22:07

Emily Florence.

SpongeCake23 · 17/02/2018 15:30

I think we're going to go with Polly Florence Black, Polly Mabel Black or Polly Elizabeth Black. Haven't decided which.
I really like Emily but DP doesn't.

I like Polly Elizabeth Black the most :)

LoveInTokyo · 17/02/2018 16:42

They’re all lovely. I think Clara is my favourite.

Congrats, OP.

user258 · 17/02/2018 22:23

Clara

SoftSheen · 17/02/2018 22:38

Polly Florence Black, then her initials will be 'PFB' Grin

PollyBanana · 17/02/2018 22:56

Polly
But I would say that, wouldn't I?

AvocadosBeforeMortgages · 17/02/2018 23:32

I'd go with Clara or Polly - both lovely names, but not as widespread as Emily and Alice.

PositiveVibes18 · 17/02/2018 23:39

Clara

SpongeCake23 · 25/02/2018 16:24

We're now torn between:

Polly Martha Black
and
Polly Elizabeth Black

100% Clara, timeless classic. Congrats

PutYourSlippersOn · 25/02/2018 16:31

Okay, just seen you last post.

Elizabeth for a middle name is lovely.
Martha is a very wet name.

SpongeCake23 · 25/02/2018 16:33

@PutYourSlippersOn

Thanks, I always loved Clara but I'm worried about it being mispronounced.

Polly Mabel is also a possibility

FeedtheTree · 25/02/2018 17:10

Clara is beautiful. So elegant too. I'm puzzled that people think it isn't very attractive. Clara Emily? Clara Polly? Both lovely.

SpongeCake23 · 25/02/2018 17:43

@FeedtheTree It's because I live in Yorkshire, I'm worried how it'll be pronounced.

Does Polly Clara work?

OP posts:
SpongeCake23 · 25/02/2018 17:50

I think Polly Elizabeth is a high contender for both of us (our fave choice and the one we're agreeing on) although Polly Mabel and Polly Florence are also possibilities. Argh!

OP posts:
LarkDescending · 25/02/2018 17:52

Not sure about Polly Clara, though I like both separately. Somehow together they make me think of a product name, like Polyfilla!

Polly Elizabeth or Clara Elizabeth are both lovely, though.

AnyaMoondial · 25/02/2018 19:55

Polly Elizabeth is pretty darn perfect actually. Wish it was my name.

DaddysGirl36 · 25/02/2018 21:12

Polly Elizabeth is my baby girl name. I don't know the sex of our baby but I bl**dy hope I get to use this name for a future baby girl if we have a boy this time as I absolutely adore it. Polly is not unusual but not in the top 100 names and I only know celebs and one person in my real life that have used it (real life person is someone I'm working with so not in my actual life long term)

chezmk1988 · 26/02/2018 20:57

Emily goes best with your potential middle names
