Is it as popular as it seems? I’ve never met one but keep hearing the name everywhere so they must be out there!

I knew one who was about 5, in the school I taught at, about 14 years ago! Absolutely none since.

ObiJuanKenobi · 04/02/2018 09:53

Is it pronounced melody without the m?
Never heard of it before.

booellesmum · 04/02/2018 09:54

DD is at school with an Eloudi.
That's the only one I know.

Meepmoop · 04/02/2018 09:56

I know two, one is around 1 and the other is 7 months

Eminybob · 04/02/2018 09:57

If we had a girl she would have been Elodie.

I have I have only ever met one, who I went to school with, so she is 37 now. Her Mum was the French teacher.

I have seen it mentioned a lot on the baby names threads but never actually met or heard of a baby Elodie.

Owlettele · 04/02/2018 09:57

I have an Elodie,
Have since met another one about 19!
Love her name and have had many positive comments

Meemzinha · 04/02/2018 10:04

@LadyPug

None yet.. But judging by how often it'd mentioned on this forum and other lists I imagine I'll be sending my little girl to school with a few, in 5 years time.

It could be like Isla.. Seemed unique but now there's loads!

ReelingLush18 · 04/02/2018 10:06

One in DC2's year at secondary school.

Very pretty name as long as it's pronounced the correct way!

Pillowaddict · 04/02/2018 10:08

One, she is 2

LadyPug · 04/02/2018 10:08

Yes, this is my worry. Beautiful name but don’t want it to be like the next Isla (I literally know about eight Islas - it’s at the point where DH presumes it’s the name of every girl we know)

About 5, mostly aged between 7-12. I still wouldn't say it's a common name and I think if it were going to become an Isla/Amelie name it would have already done it.

plimsolls · 04/02/2018 10:39

I know 3. Ages (I think) about 4,3 and 1. Actually maybe I know of a newborn one too.

FlipflopFifi · 04/02/2018 10:43

Only one. She's about 3

Talcott2007 · 04/02/2018 10:46

I know 2 - one who is in her 30's but is French and lives in France and the other is about 4

caoraich · 04/02/2018 10:46

I know three elodies under 1 and a 24 year old.

chandlersfraud · 04/02/2018 10:48
