No... It's too....sharp? Thalia is much nicer and flows better (imo)

Porgs · 02/02/2018 12:37

How is it pronounced? In my head it's 'tiny car'

Bellamuerte · 02/02/2018 12:37

How is it pronounced? (I'd assume TIN-e-ka). Are you happy to constantly correct people if they get it wrong? Also I'd probably make assumptions about the ethnicity of the person with that name because imo it isn't generic like (for example) Sarah.

ShowMeTheElf · 02/02/2018 12:39

Unusual. I know Annika and Danika s but never heard of Tinika.

Northernbird11 · 02/02/2018 12:40

Tan-i-ka? Might be better spelt tan rather than tin?

No, don’t like it

holycityzoo · 02/02/2018 12:48

Tineka tikarum(sp) springs to mind. One hit wonder in the 90's.

AlbertaSimmons · 02/02/2018 12:53

I know a Tineke, it's Dutch I believe. It's ok, easy to say, bit different.

thepatchworkcat · 02/02/2018 12:56

I like it!

k2p2k2tog · 02/02/2018 13:11

Isn't that when you get constant ringing in your ears?

I like it.

Amatree · 02/02/2018 13:34

I don't like it at all, sorry. Names give an immediate impression of a person and this one isn't good. I think you would be setting up your child for disadvantage. But then so many people seem to do that with yooneek names Confused

I like it, the a spelling is better imo.

Spartak · 02/02/2018 13:43

Sounds like a 1980s wannabe pop star who is trying too hard.

eddiemairswife · 02/02/2018 13:50

I too thought it sounded like a hearing problem.

alpineibex · 02/02/2018 13:52

I knew a Timika ('eeka' sound on the end), which sounds a little softer. Does Tinika use that pronunciation or is it a 'ika'?

alpineibex · 02/02/2018 13:53

It was tim-EE-ka

Ummmmgogo · 02/02/2018 13:59

the lady I know spells it tanika. taneequa is nice too x

TheDailyMailIsADisgustingRag · 02/02/2018 13:59

It’s alright. I’m not mad about it. What else is on your list @op?

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 02/02/2018 14:16

Tanika sounds nicer. Tinika may be shortened to Tiny or Tinny.

ChocolateCrunch · 02/02/2018 14:52

Don't like it, sorry.

Footle · 02/02/2018 17:10

It's not yoonique in Holland

holycityzoo · 02/02/2018 18:50

Thanks francis! In my defence I'm on strong painkillersGrinWink
