How is it pronounced? In my head it's 'tiny car'

How is it pronounced? (I'd assume TIN-e-ka). Are you happy to constantly correct people if they get it wrong? Also I'd probably make assumptions about the ethnicity of the person with that name because imo it isn't generic like (for example) Sarah.

I know a Tineke, it's Dutch I believe. It's ok, easy to say, bit different.

I don't like it at all, sorry. Names give an immediate impression of a person and this one isn't good. I think you would be setting up your child for disadvantage. But then so many people seem to do that with yooneek names

Tanika sounds nicer. Tinika may be shortened to Tiny or Tinny.
