Somelikeitchilly · 13/01/2018 18:19

I have an Iris, a Beatrice and an Elspeth and need some help with potential DD4, (we have a boys name).

The list is currently:
Agatha
Verity
Tabitha
Cecelia
Cornelia.

Thoughts? Any other suggestions?

Thanks.

Verity. I also suggest Genvieve or Arabella.

CharlotteC77 · 13/01/2018 18:56

I think either a one-syllable name or a longer name would work well.

Rose
Blythe
Kate
Wren
June

Penelope
Persephone
Theodora
Josephine

But I also like Ivy and Mary with your other names.

Somelikeitchilly · 13/01/2018 18:57

I like Josephine actually.

There’s no love for Tabitha.

I love Josephine - such an elegant name and has a range of different nicknames to suit different personalities (Jo, Posy, Sephie, Joey).

FirstTimeMom12 · 13/01/2018 19:05

Thought of Tabatha when I saw all names, it fits really well or Saskia

CharlotteC77 · 13/01/2018 19:05

Tabitha's a lovely name. It doesn't jump out at me from your list, but the more I think about it, the more I like it.

daisypond · 13/01/2018 19:06

I like your names, but I'm not keen on Tabitha. I like Cornelia and Cecelia a lot. I would have suggested Agnes, too, but I see that's vetoed. Cecily? Marjorie? Louisa? Marian?

Somelikeitchilly · 13/01/2018 19:07

Got some names to add to the list. Funnily enough a lot of these made the long list, so people's suggestions are great.
Thanks all.

Iris, Beatrice, Elspeth and Marcia (Mar-cee-a)

I think Jennifer would fit for some reason or Genevieve

I'm strangely drawn to Winifred - can I talk you into that

Littlechocola · 13/01/2018 19:18

TheVanguardSix · 13/01/2018 19:25

Agatha is wonderful.

I used to love Ophelia but it's just too too. It's a bit jolly hockey sticks. And besides, she's a tragic, tragic character. I am named after a tragic mythological character and I've never enjoyed the meaning of my name.

Aurelia is lovely.

Jemimapuddleduk · 13/01/2018 19:27

I love your girls names and you have very similar taste to me!
I like Cecelia best from your shortlist. How about Rosalind, Rosamund, Merryn, Sylvia, Estelle, Ethne or Stella.

NewSense · 13/01/2018 19:28

In my head when I read it I naturally finished it with "...and Lucile/ Lucie/ Lucy".

But you have some great names there, and lots of other great suggestions on this thread! I kinda want to name a girl now. Before I forget all these fabulous names!

158ff · 13/01/2018 19:31

we have the same taste in names! On my list was
Tabitha

I think Tabitha is my favourite but it seems quite marmite
