How about Carla?

Potteryprincess30 · 05/01/2018 23:29

Don't worry I only like weird names or boys names and I'm having a girl. My advice would be to go for something completely different from your list aswel if your not keen on any 'girls' names as all yours are very girly. I'm not supprised you don't like any of them tbh, they are all lovely in their own way but very sensible and old fashioned. Good luck op Smile remember girls can be more then just these kind of names, you can call her anything you want

Buntysoven · 05/01/2018 23:31

Betty is fab 😍

Potteryprincess30 · 05/01/2018 23:36

I know you want something classic but that could come from anywhere in history or anywhere in another culture or place. Try mining something completely different, European, Celtic, anything really, for a bit of a naming palate cleanser. It really helped me narrow it down to just a couple by going off grid so to speak but sticking to a style I liked.

It's so hard though, it feels like such a huge decision Smile

Potteryprincess30 · 05/01/2018 23:37

And if you are uninspired by those names definitely scrap them all. You legitimately want to be inspired by your daughter's name!

Smoliver · 05/01/2018 23:46

I like your list so far. My favs are Clara, Anna, Rose, Elodie and Erin - the others on your list are good too.

For inspiration, it might be good to start asking yourself questions like are there family members you'd like to honour like your Mum or Grandma? Or do you have a favourite celebrity? Do you have a favourite character from a film/TV show or a favourite musician? Is there a influential figure from history that you think has a good name like Emmeline Pankhurst or Rosa Parks?

Other ideas for you:

Rosanna (you like Rose and Anna - why not combine them?)
Rosa
Emmeline
Amelia
Dorothy
Cecily/Cecilia
Lucy
Hannah
Bronte
Bridget
Bryony
Felecity
Freya
Lydia
Julia

Have a look at old family names, my partner had a female relative called Indiana. Can you merge your name with the dad's. For my second child I used a female spelling of a male name Robyn and her elder sister chose her middle name of Lucy. the right name will just come to you, enjoy the baby.
