The Nutcracker

I like the name Clara

CremeFresh · 27/12/2017 21:19

It makes me think of chickens

FlowerPotMum · 27/12/2017 21:19

Doctor Who
Long distance Clara
And a friend's name, very very lovely and underused.

Muddlingalongalone · 27/12/2017 21:20

The nutcracker & the girl from 2 years above me at primary school whose first communion dress I wore secondhand

Fatso1978 · 27/12/2017 21:22

I don't know why, but Silence Of The Lambs.

Cordroythisandthat · 27/12/2017 21:22

Nutcracker and my dgran.

Courgettekatie · 27/12/2017 21:26

Heidi, I loved those books and remember them fondly as part of my childhood so that’s not a bad thing. Also I lived in Denmark for while and a colleagues lovely daughter was called Clara. So I think it’s a classic name that travels well.

Santasbigredbobblehat · 27/12/2017 21:26

A doll.

BewareOfTheToddler · 27/12/2017 21:27

The Nutcracker. I like it, it's pretty and have never met one.

itusedtobeverydifferent · 27/12/2017 21:27

Pidgeon Street! Random but I think there was a character called Clara. Maybe not, but that's where my mind ventured to!

itusedtobeverydifferent · 27/12/2017 21:28

Long Distance Clara I was right. Wow. My memory can be odd at times.

oldbirdy · 27/12/2017 21:28

Clara makes me think of the 5 Claras I know who are aged 7 and below. Very popular locally.

Heidi

Alisvolatpropiis · 27/12/2017 21:30

The Nutcracker.

It seems a very European name to me, with the currently in favour (and much prettier) Klara rather than Claire-ah pronunciation

Tedster77 · 27/12/2017 21:31

Long distance Clara ...Pigeon Street their wings wings beat....

magichamster · 27/12/2017 21:32

My grandmother, although hers was pronounced Claire-a. Lovely name

Angstyfish123 · 27/12/2017 21:32

Long Distance Clara from Pigeon Street

Still a highly positive role model for the 80’s child!

Ohmyfuck · 27/12/2017 21:39

It makes me think that if I had another daughter, i'd use that name! It's beautiful. :-)

MsHarry · 27/12/2017 21:42

Heidi.

AlmostChristmas · 27/12/2017 21:43

Lovely name but have you considered Carla also?

ruralmother · 27/12/2017 21:46

oh wow! so much more of a response than I anticipated. I've never watched doctor who so that's straight over my head. A little concerned that it's maybe more popular than I'd hoped but generally feel cheered on by your reactions!
