Finally feeling brave enough to post in this section, I know opinions can be brutal here

DS2 is due in 9 weeks and we're debating between Axel and Kasper.

Our family is half Norwegian and our eldest two have Norwegian names.

Which do you prefer?

Kasper . Although if you watch The Middle, the eldest son on there is Axel and he’s a lovely character.

Axel is s dynamic name and noone of this baby's generation will have a clue who Axel Rose is!

The OP has a legitimate reason to use it so I would - way more fun than Kasper.

I really like them both, I reckon by the time 9 weeks is up you'll have gone off one on them for some reason or another so really good to have two you like.

They are really unusual boys names and I think they would suit any little boy through to manhood

Axel as I know a really kind & lovely Axel. And it's uncommon in the UK.
Kasper/Casper although a nice name is getting quite common (as in usual.)

We haven't decided on the surname yet, not sure if mine or partner's sounds better. Initials will either be

AIW/AIM

or

KAW/KAM

Kasper is lovely. Axel/Axl I don’t like and think it’s because I already associate it with a thing (car part) rather than a name.

Kasper. Axel sounds like you are trying to give him a super cool trendy name. Which is fine if you are!

I love Kasper. I wanted to call my youngest DS this but my partner didn't like it because of Casper the ghost, but I just really like the name.
