Does the name remind anyone of Ivana Trump? I thought of Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood in HP) but then realised it reminds me of Ivana Trump and has put me off the name completely

I thought Evanna is an Irish name? I have a gorgeous and gracious friend from Cork called Evanna.

Mouthfulofquiz · 02/11/2017 05:57

I would say Ivanna as ee-vahn-ah and Evanna as Ev-Anna.

Ohhhh I thought so. At least she looks like she could have a good laugh, not like the current Mrs 🍊.

I didn't think Ivana Trump. I've liked the name Evanna for years before the Trumpingtons took the spotlight so I didn't make that connection. I think they're pronounced differently anyway - Eh-vann-uh vs Ih-vaaan-uh.

If the Ivanka link has spoilt it for you, how about:

Evanthe
Evadne
Evelyn
Evangeline
Everley

Nope, didn’t make me think of the Trump one at all.

It’s a beautiful name!

MikeUniformMike · 02/11/2017 21:58

If you want hyphenated, how about Evan-Lea.

pastabakewithcheese · 05/11/2017 20:17

@Movablefeast yes it's Irish, we have Irish roots. Thanks for the name suggestions everyone, I might just keep it on my radar and wait a few months to make my mind up, and yeah I figured a few people might know that ivanna is her name/her mum's name too. Just really shit timing

My daughter goes to school with an Evana - it’s never made me think of a Trump connection until this thread. I’ve always thought it was a gorgeous name.
