Any thoughts? Is it dated? I've only ever met one and she's in her late 20s...

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Sugarpiehoneyeye · 27/10/2017 10:05

I love Laura.

daisypond · 27/10/2017 10:20

I quite like Lauren, though I'm not bowled over by it. I know a couple - they're in their early 30s, and I do think it's slightly dated. I prefer both Laura and Laurel, both of which seem fresher to me. I don't think of Laurel and Hardy at all, I think of the evergreen plant.

Migraleve · 27/10/2017 11:03

Lorrine?

Forever having to correct pronunciation and sigh no it’s NOT Lorraine

upperlimit · 27/10/2017 11:05

I really love the name Lauren. I would have definitely have had a Lauren if I hadn't had three boys.

Wafflenose · 27/10/2017 11:14

I have a Lauren who's 9, and think her name is gorgeous. I know two others, who are 11 and 15, so I don't think it's dated.

PhatSlag · 27/10/2017 19:12

I know a Loren who pronounces it Le-wren.
Lauren was one of two names DH said he liked for one of the DC but I picked the other one he offered instead. Still like it though.

Thanks guys for the opinions. Not the keenest on Lorrine/Lorraine but thanks for the suggestion :)

My dd is called Lauren and I love it. No others around except one in my other dc’s class. It’s not a hugely popular name but I love it.

MegAndSprog · 27/10/2017 19:30

I don’t find it dated or dull. I’m mid-20s and there were just a couple in my school; I don’t think it’s ever been a wildly popular name. I like it.

HaggisMuncher · 27/10/2017 19:34

Lovely!

garmsfresh · 27/10/2017 21:42

My cousin who is 19 is a Lauren I think it’s a lovely name . I do call her Lozza though probably not so lovely.

loveinanelevator · 27/10/2017 21:43

I have a 4yo niece called Lauren, I love the name :)

ContessaBonessa · 27/10/2017 21:44

It's a little dated because it was popular in the 1990s but I think it's lovely. Also, Lauren Bacall.

mamaduckbone · 27/10/2017 21:47

I know a lovely 11 year old Lauren and I taught a Lauren last year.
I don’t think it’s dated - it’s a pretty, classic name.

Ploppie4 · 27/10/2017 21:47

Wren or Irene

Ploppie4 · 27/10/2017 21:48

Loretta

Morgan · 27/10/2017 21:51

Garmsfresh - my Lauren gets called Lozza too . I chose between Eleanor , Ella and Lauren .

Misspilly88 · 27/10/2017 21:56

Absolutely love it.

MissOnomer · 27/10/2017 21:56

I have a Lauren. She's 15 months. I think it's a beautiful name.

boredofmyoldname · 27/10/2017 22:04

I like it.

Also like Laura and Lori, I tend to prefer "boring" names though Wink

ZenNudist · 27/10/2017 22:10

Nesrly 40 and went to school with lots of Laurens.

Not popular now

Its lovely

mammmamia · 27/10/2017 22:13

I love it. Only know one in late 30s.

Amethyst975 · 27/10/2017 22:16

It wouldn’t be amongst my first choice names but it is lovely!

MrsHarker · 28/10/2017 07:50

Beautiful name, fairly underused these days.
