I quite like it although it does remind me of woodland/grassy plains..

Branleuse · 12/10/2017 10:28

Ive always thought it was a pretty name. Sounds quite american though.

Hufflepuff719 · 12/10/2017 10:34

I don't like it.

It's in the same category of names such as Saffron, Crystal, Sienna and I don't like these names.

I agree it sounds quite American.

bridgetreilly · 12/10/2017 10:40

Tacky, tacky, tacky.

The Chardonnay of its day.

PandaCat · 12/10/2017 11:45

I actually like it

Loyly · 12/10/2017 11:50

I don't like it, sorry.

Mulch · 12/10/2017 11:53

I like it, there's enough olivias, something sickly and hyphenated. Dry boring English names we don't need another Elizabeth

pipilangstrumpf · 12/10/2017 12:14

I don’t like it

Iamagreyhoundhearmeroar · 12/10/2017 12:16

Dreadful. I once heard it screeched across a shopping centre in a Liverpudlian accent, it was toe curling.

LivingInLaLaLand · 12/10/2017 12:51

We know a Savannah-Rey. Even amongst our set who favour more unusual names, it's considered poncy & try to hard - sorry

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 12/10/2017 12:56

Savannah Sapphire?Wink

Cakebaby123 · 12/10/2017 12:56

Sorry I think it's chavvy. Just because there's a Savannah (Savs as her oh so pleasant mother affectionately calls her) at my DCs school who I think has a future on the jeremey kyle show Blush

LadyRosalieBeauchamp · 12/10/2017 12:56

sorry don't like it

2014newme · 12/10/2017 12:57

Chavvy. So no.

Dontrocktheboat · 12/10/2017 12:58

Not keen but it is the name of one of the queen's great granddaughters - so may offset the 'chavvy' accusations a bit.

TheLongRains · 12/10/2017 13:00

My daughter gets called Savannah by a lot of people. It's not her name...but it has grown on me, having heard it so much! I don't think of it as tacky. The Savannah's I know are mostly very lovely, very beautiful, rather posh (not in a negative way!), but only 1 of the three I know its British, so it may be seen differently in the UK.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 12/10/2017 13:11

What does your dd get called it if it's not her name?Confused

Sophronia · 12/10/2017 13:31

Not keen, agree it fits with Sienna, Saffron, Scarlett, Sapphire, Serenity etc.

TheLongRains · 12/10/2017 13:46

Dame her name is not common in the UK (fewer than 10 born in the UK in her year), so I tend not to mention it online as it somewhat narrows us down (!), but it's an African name that is a little bit similar to Savannah... People can't seem to grasp that it's not Savannah though!

ChocolateCrunch · 12/10/2017 14:07

I know one, aged 9, who doesn't fit the chavvy image at all.

HeteronormativeHaybales · 12/10/2017 14:10

Awful.

AppleKatie · 12/10/2017 14:11

I like it but think it's a name that has either Jeremy Kyle or upper class connotations and not a lot in between. So I wouldn't use it, but it sounds lovely to my ear.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 12/10/2017 14:52

TheLongRains that makes sense, how annoying!

mrsRosaPimento · 12/10/2017 14:54

Love it. Really pretty name.

IWouldLikeToKnow · 12/10/2017 14:57

I think it’s very pretty - IMHO definitely not in the same category as Crystal!
