I don't really like it. I think of African plains and zebra etc walking for miles in search of water. It makes me feel a bit thirsty!

Pemba · 12/10/2017 16:04

I don't think it's chavvy really (Queen's great-granddaughter), and I don't mind it.

It is so close to Susannah though, which is absolutely gorgeous, so every time I hear it I just think 'why didn't they go for Susannah?'

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 12/10/2017 17:51

It's lovely !

milosmummy16 · 12/10/2017 18:56

Love it!!!

Susanna or Susannah is beautiful

Savannah isn’t (imo)

dotdotdotmustdash · 13/10/2017 10:20

There's a Dutch gymnast called Sanne (pronounced Sann-A) and I think it's very pretty.

Dustbunny1900 · 13/10/2017 15:14

May be "chavvy" (still not clear on what exactly that means. Trashy ? ) in the U.K.

But it's a classic southern belle American name here.
I like it

JustGettingStarted · 13/10/2017 15:16

Stripper name.

I've got a 14 year old Savannah. I was young when I had her and her sisters' names don't really 'match' hers in terms of style but I still love Savannah. It might have 'connotations' (although one of those connotations is a royal one) but, as a standalone name without any prejudice, I think it's really pretty. My Savannah wants to be a dancer and she'll certainly do something artsy I'm sure, so I think her name will always suit her. She often gets called Vannah.

DramaAlpaca · 16/10/2017 00:06

I quite like it, it's a pretty name. Not classic enough for me to want to use it though.

Choccyhobnob · 17/10/2017 10:06

I used to like it until a friend had one and refers to her as Sav which reminds me of Savlon.

EachandEveryone · 17/10/2017 10:11

I know one toddler Savannah born into a very well to do family. Its accross the board. I like it.

TempStamos · 17/10/2017 10:17

My 10 year old DD’s best friend is called Savannah and she gets called Savvy or Saffy. I like it and it’s got plenty of options for shortenings and nickname’s.

PhelanGood · 17/10/2017 17:33

I'm not a fan, I know a woman with this name and she's very Sloaney and rahhh so that puts me off. Depends what you're going for!

boredofmyoldname · 17/10/2017 17:39

I don't like it and it's becoming increasingly popular here , in NE Scotland, if that's a consideration.

I know 5 under 5, 2 tweens and a 30 year old.

The adult prefers to be called Anna.

villainousbroodmare · 17/10/2017 19:30

I think it's gone Burberry. Once posh, now largely knacker.
