I really love Rosalind. It has a delicate, old fashioned feel which I like but also can be shortened to Rosey which I find more fiesty and modern (I know it's not)

I always think Genevieve sounds so serious. Too serious. But I do love that it can be shortened to Ginny which is such an underused beauty

Astrid is nice but I do much prefer Rosalind

Rosalind Astrid?

PointlessUsername · 15/09/2017 17:51

Phadra
Skyler
Tabitha

I like Astrid though.

ElspethTascioni · 15/09/2017 17:55

Ooh, don't like Phaedra or Skyler. Tabitha is nice but always reminds me of Tabitha Twitchett.

I am drawn to Rosalind, but don't like Rosey as a NN or Ros, so have no idea what they'd get!

Astrid 100%. It sounds cool/trend, fresh (for some reason!) not over used and a bit quirky.

DollyLlama · 15/09/2017 18:39

Astrid is stunning!

GissASquizz · 15/09/2017 18:40

I adore Genevieve. So many potential nicknames and so beautiful to say.

Sophronia · 15/09/2017 18:41

I like Genevieve and Rosalind (prefer Rosamund though)

Beek84 · 15/09/2017 18:46

My vote goes to Genevieve

Viviennemary · 15/09/2017 18:46

I like Genevieve and Rosalind and also Rosamund. Astrid is qute nice too but I prefer the other two.

MinisterForSmallFountains · 15/09/2017 18:47

Rosalind. Lovely, esp in honour of Rosalind Russell in His Girl Friday.

Rosalinda as nick name (even though it is longer) or Indie for short.

redexpat · 15/09/2017 18:49

Ive only ever known one Rosalind and she is lovely so that makes me think its a lovely name.
Astrid I associate with Pippi Longstocking.
Genevieve I like too. You are unlikely to have 2 of any of them in your class.

ifigoup · 15/09/2017 18:51

Lindy would be a sweet nickname for Rosalind. I prefer Astrid or Genevieve, though.

Caprianna · 15/09/2017 18:55

Rosalind.

I associate Astrid with an older person. I have only come across Astrid in Scandinavia and always an old Auntie. Is it a British name too?

NorthernLurker · 15/09/2017 18:57

I have a Rosalind. She is mostly Rozzi. Glad to see so many like it.

ColdFeetWarmHeart · 15/09/2017 19:01

Definitely Genevieve. It was on my list but DH vetoed it earlier this week Sad

Backhometothenorth · 15/09/2017 19:31

I'm a Rosalind and love it. Think it would be pretty hard to avoid Roz or Rosie if you dislike them however.

Genevieve is gorgeous too.

Jooni · 15/09/2017 19:36

Genevieve or Astrid are gorgeous, in different ways though. Genevieve is flowing, feminine, sophisticated, while Astrid is cool and funky. Depends what feel you want really.

dillytilly · 15/09/2017 20:07

Genevieve !!!

ILoveMillhousesDad · 15/09/2017 20:10

There was a girl in my year called Genevieve. I always loved it.

AdaColeman · 15/09/2017 20:12

All very lovely, but Astrid is my favourite.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 15/09/2017 20:13

Rosalind, you could have Lindy !
I love Rosie.

ShimmeringIce · 15/09/2017 20:14

I can never decide if Genevieve is pronounced Jen-i-veev or Jzon-vee-ev. Might just be me, though!

YouBetterWORK · 15/09/2017 20:14

I loved Genevieve. DH? "We're not French!" so vetoed! Rosalind and Astrid are both on our list though; if you asked me to pick one right now from those 3 I'd say Astrid. Classy, beautiful and underused.

Doilooklikeatourist · 15/09/2017 20:17

All three are great ,
Rosalyn maybe a bit softer than Rosalind
Genevieve , lovely but NN Evie is a bit over used
Astrid , just lovely

IfNot · 15/09/2017 20:20

Love them all. Rosalind is my fave-Rosa for short.
