Again I have to say Rosalind, I do like Astrid too it has an equally lovely meaning to Rosalind.

Yes Cake definitely possible to use a non-standard NN - I don't use the traditional NN for my name, although ppl do try sometimes!

Someone suggested Sassi as a NN for Astrid, which I like - I want my daughter to be sassy!

Astrid is not too out there. I think, also, less likely to be mis-spelt

I like Astrid a lot and would have seriously considered it if we'd had a girl. I think it's very cool.

Genevieve by far!

Rosalind - Lindy? Rozzy?

Rosalind. Genevieve is OK but I think the French pronunciation is nicer than the English way. I don't like Astrid at all - unless you have some Scandinavian connections.
