Unique but acceptable girls names

As the thread title really...

I don't want to go for a name that's really popular at the moment but at the same time, I don't want to stick a target on their back because they have an "out-there" name.

My ideas so far are:
Beatrix
Rain
Luna

I know two Beatrixes, both get called Bea.

Rain, not keen at all.

Luna. Nice but gets slagged off on mumsnet.

HumpHumpWhale · 12/09/2017 21:55

What about Honour?

DjangoUnchained · 12/09/2017 21:55

Raine is nicer

Luna is ok but a bit Harry Potter.

What about Eden, Willow or Sunny?

Liadain · 12/09/2017 21:58

Luna is rising in popularity so if it's unique you want, maybe that isn't a good choice.

Zinnia, Coral, Fleur, Pearl, Soleil, Fern, Dawn, Rosalie...Luna and Rain are nature names so would any of those be of a similar vibe to what you're thinking?

VilootShesCute · 12/09/2017 21:59

Clementine. Oh how I love that name 😍

Lemondrop99 · 12/09/2017 22:00

Unique means one of a kind, so you'd have to make something up and I therefore assume it would fall into "out there".

Do you just mean unusual/rarely used?

Beatrix is reasonably popular
Not keen on Rain
Luna is nice

ChaChaChaCh4nges · 12/09/2017 22:03

Stella?

Blondie1984 · 12/09/2017 22:04

Why not take inspiration from your name and call her Willow?

Beek84 · 12/09/2017 22:12

An earlier poster said it and I also love Clementine. Also Emmeline. My little girl is Cecilia (Cee Cee) so obviously I like that name.
Other unusual names I think are lovely are
Pearl
Scarlet
Cora
Josephine
Genevieve
Tara
Adaline
Iris

Tatiana1986 · 12/09/2017 22:12

I like Beatrix because it can be shortened to Trixie, super cute!

Rain or Raine is sounds beautiful.

Luna is a bit meh.

I wanted to call my DD Mila or Silver.

Sophronia · 12/09/2017 22:16

Beatrix is nice

I had a school friend called Raina. I've only ever heard of one other and it's the singer in the tv show Nashville. I think she spells it Rayna though. I like that. But not Rain. Who wants to be called Rain in the middle of summer? Or on a grey and miserable winters day either.

SingingSeuss · 12/09/2017 22:56

Unique names aren't really acceptable? Confused

Thewolfsjustapuppy · 12/09/2017 22:56

Of the names you mention Rain is the only one I haven't heard recently as a name.
