Unique but acceptable girls names

As the thread title really...

I don't want to go for a name that's really popular at the moment but at the same time, I don't want to stick a target on their back because they have an "out-there" name.

My ideas so far are:
Beatrix
Rain
Luna

I love Raine! It would be on my list if it wasn't for the fact my family couldn't say it properly in my home country (they would pronounce it like Ryan).

I like Beatrix or Bellatrix, if you are going to call her Trixie, which is very sweet.

Rain is awful - why would you want to be named something cold, wet and miserable?

SilverySurfer · 13/09/2017 17:36

Please not Rain(e) reminds me of Raine Spencer who was vile. Beatrix and Luna are lovely.

Mollie85 · 13/09/2017 17:54

Lumen - "light" I've loved this since Dexter

Mollie85 · 13/09/2017 17:58

Wish Mn had an editing function - lumen is a measure of light, not simply "light" 😁

I really love this but may be a bit out there Flowers

My favourite unusual girls' names are both from 60s songs - Elenore (The Turtles), and Jessamine (The Casuals), though they could easily be shortened to Ellie and Jess/Jessie

GaryBarlowsTaxReturn · 14/09/2017 16:02

There are loads of baby Lunas. Some celeb had baby and called it that. Suddenly it's everywhere. So not one to pick if you want unusual.
