I would really like to hear your opinions on the name. We just found out it's a baby girl, so we are discussing and vetoing names that we like/dislike.

We both like the name but would like to hear your opinions 😁. Thank you! x

Lovely name in my opinion, a good way to honour a Margaret as it's a variation.

Oly5 · 10/09/2017 16:40

I love it

TallulahBetty · 10/09/2017 16:44

Meh. I find it really blah. Not horrible but nothing special.

bridgetreilly · 10/09/2017 16:59

It's fine. I do like Meg as a nickname.

Jedbartletforpresident · 10/09/2017 17:16

I like it, but I am increasingly hearing it pronounced "mee-gan" rather than "meh-gan" and I while I don't mind the alternative pronunciation I wonder if it would annoy me. Might be a regional thing though

Liadain · 10/09/2017 17:17

Lovely name. I have taught a couple before.

Ninjakittysmells · 10/09/2017 17:19

I like it a lot!

DramaAlpaca · 10/09/2017 17:22

I find it quite hard sounding, to be honest, so it's not a name I particularly like, but it makes a refreshing change from all the really popular names about at the moment.

But the only thing that matters is that you & your DP both like it.

17caterpillars1mouse · 10/09/2017 17:27

It's a lovely name

Essexgirlupnorth · 10/09/2017 17:29

I have a Megan she is nearly four. Not met any other little girls called Megan either so it isn't super popular

Whenwillthesunshine · 10/09/2017 17:48

I love it and would have used it if I had more girls

WinterRose92 · 10/09/2017 17:53

Love it!

addler · 10/09/2017 17:55

I really like it. A solid yet feminine name. I don't like the mee-gan pronunciation either.

DiegoMadonna · 10/09/2017 17:55

I like it.

AnnieAnoniMouse · 10/09/2017 17:57

I love it if it's pronounced Mehg-han but not if it's pronounced Mee-gan and so I wouldn't use it myself because I'd get really fed up of either correcting people or trying to ignore it.

userofthiswebsite · 10/09/2017 17:58

one of my faves

Snap8TheCat · 10/09/2017 17:58

I have one and have never had it mispronounced or misspelt.

I love it, obviously.

Sophronia · 10/09/2017 19:20

It's a bit 90s. I'm not overly keen.

Laladog · 10/09/2017 19:44

Thank you! We would definitely not be pronouncing it Mee-gan, of course no offense to anyone who is called or has called their child that, we just prefer the original x

I really like Megan. Sometimes it's on my list, sometimes I decide I don't like 'Meg' as a nn.

MikeUniformMike · 10/09/2017 20:25

I like Meg. Megan is nice if you pronounce it in the Welsh way - Meg-an as opposed to Meg-un.

Yogagirl123 · 10/09/2017 20:48

Lovely name

TollgateDebs · 10/09/2017 20:51

My cousin Megan is 19. It is a lovely name and she is called Megan, Meggie and Meg.

Nessalina · 10/09/2017 22:52

I really love Megan and it's top of my list for DD due in 4 weeks. DH is a bit concerned about the Family Guy link - which means nothing to me, does it to anyone else??

Liadain · 10/09/2017 23:54

Oh, the daughter in that is Meg isn't she? I wouldn't be bothered by that. I doubt Family Guy will last forever, and she isn't the worst character anyway.
