Oh god I came on here to say please don't call your little boy McKenna. But a girl?! Please don't. So many beautiful names out there.

Going to go against the grain and say that I like it! There are a lot of far worse names, but this one is actually nice. I say go for it!

Like PPs have said, it's a surname meaning son of Kenna. It isn't a girl's name.

If MacKenna and Mackenzie are OK as girl's names, how about MacIntosh?

I know a Mackenzie, so McKenna doesn't seem too far off.

But the spelling does make it seem more surname-like. I'm not sure if Mackenna is a correct spelling, but that might be something to consider?

I'm not a fan, personally. All of these names remind me of McKinsey, the consulting firm. But that's a niche reference.

I grew up watching Tucker (American show, aired on Nickelodeon in the UK, stars Katey Sagal) and McKenna is the name of one of the female main characters, so I wouldn't think it was weird ... I think most people disagree though!
