We found out today we're having a girl, after teaching DP the art of compromise it took us a long long time to decide on names that we could both live with (we have hugely different opinions) and here is our list
Some I love, some he loves, some we just don't mind, some we just don't hate
What's do you think?
We're not massively fussed on popularity

Emily
April
Harriet
Heidi
Lydia
Talulah
Cecilia
Abigail

Harriet
Heidi

Harriet is my favourite girls name.
I've loved it for ever!
Heidi is nice too from your list.

Chaffinch4 · 04/09/2017 19:30

April
Harriet
Cecilia

All lovely.

Really not a fan of Talulah... the others are fine.

Mol1628 · 04/09/2017 19:32

Harriet or Emily.

junebirthdaygirl · 04/09/2017 19:33

All lovely names except Talulah. Harriet probably my favourite there.

AdaColeman · 04/09/2017 19:40

Heidi Lydia and Cecilia are my favourites from your list.

Talulha and Abigail are my least favourite, and I'd only used April if she were born in that month.

Lots of lovely names there! Thanks

cottonwool125 · 04/09/2017 19:43

Emily and Harriet are my favourites, closely followed by Lydia Smile

CleopatraCatLover · 04/09/2017 19:44

I like April, but I'm biased as my dn is called this and she was born in April.

NoCapes · 04/09/2017 19:49

Oh no I was hoping for more Talulah love

Interesting comments about April, I thought an April born in April would be too much, but would people think an April born in January a bit odd??

Not Abigail. I dont like the hard gail sound at the end & it breaks down to a big ail. What ails you, etc.

Alexandra?

NikiBabe · 04/09/2017 19:55

I like Cecilia from your list and Emily.

Liadain · 04/09/2017 20:00

Emily - lovely name if a bit bland now. Very very popular but if popularity doesn't bother you, no issue really.

April - love this - though I'd use it if she was born in April. Beautiful name. Also love Avril.

Harriet - nope!

Heidi - a bit dirndls and mountain goats to me, but still a pretty name

Lydia - another pretty name but has never really blown me away tbh

Talulah - awful and overly flouncy.

Cecilia - really dislike this one

Abigail - it's ok. Not great but ok. Be sure you are happy with Abby though!

Overall, my favourites are April, Lydia and Heidi.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 04/09/2017 20:06

❤️ Harriet

KingPrawnOkay · 04/09/2017 20:09

Tallulah or Heidi ☺️

Coey2016 · 04/09/2017 20:12

My favourites are Lydia & Cecilia

TallulahBetty · 04/09/2017 20:13

Can't go wrong with Tallulah Wink

bridgetreilly · 04/09/2017 20:15

Love:
Harriet
Cecilia

Fine:
Emily
Abigail

Really don't like:
April
Heidi
Lydia
Talulah

But if you do go for Tallulah, it's usually spelled with the double l.

KeiraH · 04/09/2017 20:16

I love Harriet

MrsDneedsaB · 04/09/2017 20:23

Love Tallulah and Heidi.

Nothing wrong with a flouncy name in comparison to some of the names you hear floating about nowadays!

Redpramlady · 04/09/2017 20:46

Love Harriet
Love heidi
Love April

The others are lovely too! Emily v common here.

not such a fan of tallulah

PinkFlamingo888 · 04/09/2017 20:48

Harriet or Emily

Sequence · 04/09/2017 20:54

Cecilia, Abigail and Emily are my favourites of those, and I also like April and Lydia. Harriet and Heidi sound a little harder in comparison. Tallulah is a bird on Maisy Mouse.

Spinningpenny · 04/09/2017 20:59

I Love Cecilia, but I'm not allowed to use it Sad Lydia is also really pretty.

ClaraLane · 04/09/2017 21:01

You can't have Harriet because that's my newborn daughter's name Grin I love Cecilia and Abigail, what about Clara?
