Twin girls - one down, one to go

We are having identical twin girls in a few weeks. We have decided one will be called Alice but we are going round in circles with the other name.
The shortlist is:
Beatrice (Bea) - DH really likes this but I've gone off it a bit
Olivia - sounds good with Alice but is too popular
Jemima - a bit pretentious?

Any suggestions please?

I loveeee Beatrice and will go so well with Alice

Mrscropley · 26/08/2017 20:27

Beatrice and Alice are a bit samey - ice. What about Beatrix?

GeorgeTheHamster · 26/08/2017 20:30

I like Alice and Bea but it's a bit A and B (thing one and thing two!)

Sophie?
Edie?

I've always thought if I had twin girls, I'd call them Beatrice/Beatrix and Matilda.

Alice and Claire
Alice and Ellen

Call the first one Alice and second one Zoë. Or Zara...or another nice Z name. Smile

Thanks for your suggestions so far. Our DD is called Matilda, I do really like Martha but thought it was a bit too similar. Sophie was on our list but my sister got there first! Names don't need to match but just sound good together.

From your list I think Olivia, Livy, is lovely.

Otherwise,
Alice and Freya
Alice and Robin

PanannyPanoo · 26/08/2017 20:40

I love Olivia and Jemima. They sound lovely together as does Livvy and Mima

I think Alice and Jemima is gorgeous
How about Flora, Kitty or Clara.

ilivebythesea · 26/08/2017 20:42

I love Jemima, and it goes well with Alice and Matilda.

holidayqueriwifi · 26/08/2017 20:43

Alice and Florence
Alice and Josephine
Alice and Harriet

Emily7708 · 26/08/2017 20:45

Elizabeth sounds good with Alice, it has the same number of syllables as Olivia.

Muddlinalong · 26/08/2017 20:46

Beautiful names! I love all of them, it would be hard to choose.

A few others than seem to fit together to me.
Alice and Hazel?
Alice and Clara?
Alice and Elizabeth?

bridgetreilly · 26/08/2017 20:47

I don't think there's anything pretentious about Jemima. Of your three I like Jemima best, then Olivia, then Beatrice.

Other ideas:
Alice and Laura
Alice and Emily
Alice and Katie
Alice and Thea
Alice and Jennifer
Alice and Evie

ItBroke · 26/08/2017 20:52

I'd try and chose the name you like the best and try not to worry about whether it goes with your other daughters names.

Melabela10 · 26/08/2017 20:53

Florence
Mia
Ella
Beatrice

I like Olivia but it's too popular

Jemima - dislike

SuperBeagle · 26/08/2017 20:58

Alice and Olivia is a brand, though not as well known as other designer brands.

I'd pick Alice and Jemima.

LadyGagarden · 26/08/2017 20:58

Alice and Jessica

MollyHuaCha · 26/08/2017 20:59

Love Jemima! Actually I like all of the names you mentioned.
