we've named our baby girl Finley but struggling with a middle name that we both love
My favourite is Grace however my partner is not as in love as me
Looking for any other ideas..
Big sister is Millie Rose so can't have Rose

I know not everyone is a fan of unisex names but we really love them and had Bobbi, Charley, Noa, Parker and spencer on our list before falling in love with Finley

Thanks :)

What about Casebook as a middle name? Especially good if she goes into medicine.

Kr1stina · 14/08/2017 23:41

How right you are , no dogs Grin

Kellyturnbull · 14/08/2017 23:53

Thanks everyone, my favourites so far
Finley Grace (my heart is still here)
Finley Mae
Finley Jade
Finley Belle
Finley Rae
I don't find Grace boring though, I think it's a beautiful, feminine, timeless name. Also it's my mums middle name, same as Rose is my granny's middle name but I will run the others past my hubby 🙈
Can I also add for the comments of its all boy that if you look up the rankings for the name Finley in America it's much higher for girls than boys, ranked #163 for girls and #302 for boys. My family over in Canada also said its more common for girls than boys.. yes I know we are not in Canada or America but I imagine the name will gain with girls here too.
Also Lisa Marie Presley (Elvis's daughter) named one of her twin girls Finley so Elvis's granddaughter is a Finley girl 💁! Not why I have picked the name just to add in haha
I love her name ☺️💗

Oh Finley Iris is lovely
What do you think of Finley Ivy? Is it too matchy with sounds or does it flow?

Genuinely don't get biscuitmillionaires comment of casebook? Maybe lack of sleep but I'm just not getting it

There was a Dr Finley's Casebook on TV long ago. I like Grace, Belle and Rose as middle names, btw.

Kellyturnbull · 15/08/2017 00:30

Thanks drigon, I had no idea and clearly missing the joke! I just had a quick search on google and found a programme which started in the early 60s.. my mum wasn't even born so I would never have got the joke 🙈
Irene's daughter Finley in home and away early 90s is definitely more my era 💁
Rose is my other daughters middle name 💗

If Grace is a family name with meaning to you then I would use that. The other middle names you've shortlisted seen more like pretty "fillers" iyswim.

Ivy doesn't flow so well because of the repitition of the y.

Personally I would go with Grace or Iris.

Oh cooooooool, I like Fin for a girl!!

Threeandabit · 15/08/2017 21:24

Personally, I think Iris follows better than Ivy.

PandorasXbox · 15/08/2017 23:01

I'd choose something very feminine tbh for her middle name.

Eleanor
Isabella
Seraphina
Elisabeth
Charlotte
Harriet
Beatrice
Jemima
Alice

Any sound or word you can come up with is a name on that site. Doesn't mean it actually is in the real name. This is site that gives you "Discovery" as a unisex name. And November.
It also tells us the Irish version of James is "Shamas".

Choccyhobnob · 16/08/2017 15:56

I think Finley Grace or Finley Iris are lovely.

Mamadramalama · 20/09/2017 20:04

My nieces name is Finley. I love it so much for a girl and so does all of our family (I actually thought it was a girls name to be honest, I too remember Finley from home and away 😁😂). Anyway just wanted to say that we always get compliments on our Finley girl!! I love Finley Grace and Finley Iris!
My super cute niece is Finley Violet 💗

Lozmatoz · 20/09/2017 20:12

Hells teeth notever! She's not asking for a definition of unisex! Pretty obvious what she's saying. She also didn't say that she wanted a middle unisex name and definitely isn't saying that Grace is unisex. Maybe you should stop commenting on this and that people answer the actual question.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 20/09/2017 21:09

Millie Rose and Finley Roberta.

pipilangstrumpf · 20/09/2017 22:02

I know a female Finley. I think Grace goes really well as middle name.

Bouncingbelle · 20/09/2017 22:54

Finley Grace sounds perfect :)

Bouncingbelle · 21/09/2017 01:56

Finley Susannah also lovely

SerfTerf · 21/09/2017 03:09

I know this is nosey, but if your whole family have unisex names, why did you call your eldest Millie? It's mucked up the family "thing" that you're so keen to stick to.

saritah · 21/09/2017 09:10

Anything feminine for the middle name. (Finley Rae sounds like a boy.) I love unisex names but Finley is so common for boys in the UK ... are you prepared for a lifetime of correction?

Chocolatecake12 · 22/09/2017 19:33
