I vote Winter Florence! Love the name Winter for a middle name, wouldn't use it as a first name personally but that's just my taste.

Sophronia · 10/08/2017 14:43

Winter Florence just makes me think of winter in Florence (the city).

Winter Jasmine is growing in my garden - Winter Cicely may also still by growing by November (Myrrh) - it is quite difficult to avoid a middle name that placed with Winter doesn't define an object. Winter Eve, Winter Jade (which sadly sounds a bit like a shade of paint)

You can either go with this and deliberately play on it, bearing in mind you're going to have this with your future little Autumn and Summer when they come along (Summer Rose, Autumn Dawn), or go for traditional names that can't be joined, ie Isobel, Amy, Elise.

Winter Charlotte
Winter Jasmine
Winter Ariana

Flower names are the best option though I think. Winter with another random name generally sounds quite odd but most of the flower ones work.

Winter Jasmine
Winter Rose
Winter Violet

Three syllables seems the best too:

Winter Isobel
Winter Cecily
Winter Emily
Winter Olympics (sorry)

The more I see Winter written down the odder it looks though!!!

I also like Winter Larke.

xjasminex · 10/08/2017 21:22

Really do like winter Isla but my mums best friends little girl is called Isla! I like
Winter Irilys , it's Welsh for snowdrop, half my family are Welsh or winter Eira meaning snow Halo

I don't think it matters so much if your mum's best friend's daughter is called Isla, if you're using it as a middle name.

Other suggestions: -

Winter Simone Stephens
Winter Estelle Stephens
Winter Dulcie Stephens. Dulcie means sweetness.
Winter Celeste Stephens. Celeste means heavenly.
Winter Louise Stephens
Winter Emmeline Stephens
Winter Emily Stephens
Winter Amanda Stephens... Loving the name Amanda at the moment. It means "worthy of love".
Winter Felicity Stephens. Felicity means happy / lucky.
Winter Amy Stephens. Amy means loved.
Winter Beatrice Stephens. Beatrice means "She who brings happiness".

Happy choosing, op.

Irilys should be Eirlys if you're thinking of using it.

waitingforthewaterwars2 · 11/08/2017 00:53

Winter Rose.

Welsh name alert.
The welsh word for snowdrop is a fairly popular name. it is Eirlys not Irilys.
It is a pretty name but not easily pronounceable if you do not speak Welsh fluently. Neither is Eira (fairly popular name meaning snow.
Please do not subject your child to a name that only a few people can pronounce or spell.
