I am looking for an unfussy name that works in various languages. One syllable would be good. I like Ros but none of the longer versions, so what about Rose?
Any opinions or suggestions appreciated. Thanks

Or Magda and you could even call her Meg for short maybe?

HairyMcFairy16 · 03/08/2017 04:59

It's not short but Elizabeth (Elisabet/Elisabeth) works in all 3 languages. It has lots of short nicknames to choose from as well.

Ooh also Ines/Inez?

Meg is lovely (Little Women) but I thought it was short for Margaret.
Rose is lovely.

We love it in our house.

My dd is 6 and called Lucy. She had decided she wants to change her name to Rose :)

Thank you all for your help. Dh likes them! My favourite is Meg, but if anyone wants to offer an opinion on name combos please do.
It's:
Meg Kathryn
May Kathryn
May Margaret
Rose Kathryn
Rose Margaret

I like to think that Meg Kathryn honours both Margaret and Kathryn, but not sure it sounds nice.
Thanks
