What do you think of the name Margot?

I think it's absolutely beautiful and you should go for it!

I was going to suggest Marguerite nn Margot, but since you don't like nicknames, just Margot is perfect.

It's ok but I think it is definitely going to rise in popularity in the next few years, which may make it eventually seem dated.

Margot is the kind of girl that is effortlessly cool, in my imagination!
Margo is an Irish country singer, sister to Daniel O'Donnell so doesn't have quite the same impact for me! Sorry AuntyM.

I used to work with an old lady Margaret who went by Margo - it just reminds me of her so I'm not keen.

Margareta or Martha is nicer. Margo sounds masculine to me.

And I wouldn't spell it Margot unless in France.

The spelling Margaux is for the wine, not the name Margot (that is the French spelling). Margo is common in Scotland.

Not my favourite name or shortened form of Margaret but ok.
