Totally crushing on the name Jean. What are your thoughts on it?

Sibset would be Finn, Louis, Hector & Jean

I think I prefer it spelt like my Mum- Jeanne.

DisorderedAllsorts · 02/06/2017 02:03

I know a Jeanne, she's French and very cool

DisorderedAllsorts · 02/06/2017 02:04

She pronounces it the French way with a soft J as Jaahne iyswim

So many Jeans when I was at school - it's a bit like Susan, Valerie and Sandra to me, but I guess times are changing.....

Crunchymum · 03/06/2017 19:42

Adore it. It's my fave girls name and has been for ages.

Dolwar · 09/06/2017 21:40

I think it's awful on a baby. Sorry.
I just picture someone short fat grey-haired and in their 60s.

Ojoj1974 · 09/06/2017 21:43

My mum is a Jean but spelt Jeanne (the French way)

Saturn2016 · 09/06/2017 22:04

Hate it - sorry!

ExhaustedPigeon · 09/06/2017 22:08

Love it. DD middle name is Jean. Makes me think of Jean from the x men - Strong and feisty!

SeaLionsOnMyShirt · 09/06/2017 22:12

Horrible, sorry. Jeanne or Jenna perhaps?
MIL and MIL's SiL are both Jeans - known as a Pair of Jeans at family gatherings. They aren't impressed with that either.

blahthisistoohard · 10/06/2017 02:06

I picture a boring lady in her 60's, almost as plain as Jane

Joeybee · 10/06/2017 04:27

Prefer Jane to Jean....but Jean is a pretty cool name, and goes well with the sibset.

Cantseethewoods · 10/06/2017 05:51

Is my DDs middle name, named for my maternal grandmother who was 50 shades of awesome.

I also had a friend/tennis partner called Jean who is a super high energy and v beautiful woman from Chicago so I have v positive associations.

I think that's what it comes down to much of the time
