Totally crushing on the name Jean. What are your thoughts on it?

Sibset would be Finn, Louis, Hector & Jean

I think I prefer it spelt like my Mum- Jeanne.

I know a Jeanne, she's French and very cool

She pronounces it the French way with a soft J as Jaahne iyswim

So many Jeans when I was at school - it's a bit like Susan, Valerie and Sandra to me, but I guess times are changing.....

Adore it. It's my fave girls name and has been for ages.

I think it's awful on a baby. Sorry.
I just picture someone short fat grey-haired and in their 60s.

Love it. DD middle name is Jean. Makes me think of Jean from the x men - Strong and feisty!

MIL and MIL's SiL are both Jeans - known as a Pair of Jeans at family gatherings. They aren't impressed with that either.

Prefer Jane to Jean....but Jean is a pretty cool name, and goes well with the sibset.

Is my DDs middle name, named for my maternal grandmother who was 50 shades of awesome.

I also had a friend/tennis partner called Jean who is a super high energy and v beautiful woman from Chicago so I have v positive associations.

I think that's what it comes down to much of the time
