Totally crushing on the name Jean. What are your thoughts on it?

Sibset would be Finn, Louis, Hector & Jean

Is my DDs middle name, named for my maternal grandmother who was 50 shades of awesome.

I also had a friend/tennis partner called Jean who is a super high energy and v beautiful woman from Chicago so I have v positive associations.

I think that's what it comes down to much of the time

Prefer Jane to Jean....but Jean is a pretty cool name, and goes well with the sibset.

I picture a boring lady in her 60's, almost as plain as Jane

Horrible, sorry. Jeanne or Jenna perhaps?
MIL and MIL's SiL are both Jeans - known as a Pair of Jeans at family gatherings. They aren't impressed with that either.

Love it. DD middle name is Jean. Makes me think of Jean from the x men - Strong and feisty!

My mum is a Jean but spelt Jeanne (the French way)

I think it's awful on a baby. Sorry.
I just picture someone short fat grey-haired and in their 60s.

Adore it. It's my fave girls name and has been for ages.

So many Jeans when I was at school - it's a bit like Susan, Valerie and Sandra to me, but I guess times are changing.....

They're all still really lovely! Just the names are dated and very common in that age group. Don't like granny chic names either eg Mabel,
Elsie etc.

So you're dissing the names just because the people you know with those names are old?
They were young once, and maybe elegant and beautiful.
Like my Mum.

Awful and dowdy. I've got an auntie Jean, Joan and June, all in their 70s and 80s. Having said that I don't mind Jeanie.

Jean is a totally cool name. It is my daughter's name (she's early 20s) and she rocks it :)

I really dislike Jean.
Jane is so much better

Hate it.

Her brothers get nice, "current" names and she gets Jean. She won't thank you for it.

Middle aged over peroxide hair to me I'm afraid. Sorry

Umm, sorry not for me. Jane, Jean, Joan, June just remind me of menopausal women...

Jeanie is mildly better.

The past year or two have really started to like this. And Jeannie's fun. Go for it!
Sounds like it will complete the sibset well.
