Which middle name would you put with Indigo

I was hoping to go for Joan (after my grandma) but think they're too different

Sibling's middle name is Grace so something with a spiritual meaning/Christian connection would be good!

Thanks xx

Oops sorry! didn't realise it was a girl. Please don't use Indigo not unless you're a 'New Ager', then its entirely in keeping with that.

Teardropexplodes · 21/05/2017 21:37

I knew a boy Indigo years ago, in our late teens (mid 90s). I thought his name was so cool and unique. It really suited him.
I thought he must be the only Indigo in the world, but reading this, it seems there are more (unless we all know the same dude)

Mumzypopz · 21/05/2017 21:38

Indigo? Really. How awful. Poor kid.

littletwofeet · 21/05/2017 21:47

Love Joan as the middle name.
Love Indigo too but I thought it was a boys name?

HoratioNightboy · 22/05/2017 00:15

Indigo Dawn?

I'm glad your love for your grandma makes you embrace her name, but hating one's grandmother's name doesn't mean you hate the person! I count my blessings that my mother succesfully fought against me being given his mother's name, as a first or middle name, as I absoutely detest it! I loved her to bits, but the name is on my hate list. It's very popular on here though; can't imagine why!

shitgibbon · 22/05/2017 00:22

Can she have two middle names? Indigo Faith Joan
Indigo Joan Hope

Elbi · 22/05/2017 18:32

Indigo Joan is wonderful, please use it! Agree with pp it sounds like a heroine in a story.

Maggie2828 · 22/05/2017 20:14

Indigo is fabulous! I really like indigo Joan, or indigo faith or joy as alternatives.

MiniMaxi · 23/05/2017 09:22

A thought, OP: how about Indiana Joan? Grin

joannegrady90 · 23/05/2017 09:29

Please don't call your daughter indigo 😂

oleoleoleole · 23/05/2017 09:36

Indigo Joanne?

ErrolTheDragon · 23/05/2017 15:29

Please don't call your daughter indigo

Why not? Other colour names (Blue, Scarlet) are used. Indigo sounds more like a name than those.

user1495473245 · 23/05/2017 15:42

Indigo joanne?..its still has letters joan and the name meaning is gift of god..

I've said Indigo so many times now in my head reading this thread that it doesn't make sense anymore!

blahthisistoohard · 30/05/2017 08:21

Indigo Blue

blahthisistoohard · 30/05/2017 08:26

Just for those that said it's a boys name...

In the UK last year Indigo as a girls name was up from 2096th in 1996 to 549th in 2015. As a boys name it was up from a 0 ranking (i.e less than 3 babies named Indigo in a year) to 3908th in 2015.

So I think the stats (darkgreener.com) speak for themselves!
