Which middle name would you put with Indigo

I was hoping to go for Joan (after my grandma) but think they're too different

Sibling's middle name is Grace so something with a spiritual meaning/Christian connection would be good!

Thanks xx

I like Joan. Underused, slightly vintage, really strong sound...

It's lovely :)!

Thanks everyone!

Indigo Gene

I nearly joked, so long as its not 'Indigo Jean(s)'

And there's a genome database called Indigo, http://www.cbrc.kaust.edu.sa/indigo/begin.do. Grinwell, I suppose there are worse things to turn up if you google a name.

Epipgab · 20/05/2017 20:04

Indigo Joanna?

villainousbroodmare · 20/05/2017 23:06

Indigo Joan is great! It makes me think of a feisty heroine in a novel.

FreeNiki · 21/05/2017 00:04

I know its your grandmas name but its awful. It rhymes with moan. You dont have to give your dc a relatives name, they know you loved them.

Indigo Violet
Grin

DramaAlpaca · 21/05/2017 01:02

Faith or Joy are lovely, and Indigo is fab, so cool.

But Joan is so dreary, it really is. I couldn't use it, even to honour someone special.

aroha77 · 21/05/2017 10:02

I guess it's different when it was your favourite relative, makes me love it as a name Smile

Not really. Id hate it if I had my grandmas name as a middle name. Its so dated.

aroha77 · 21/05/2017 14:26

Maybe it depends on your relationship with the relative xx

FreeNiki · 21/05/2017 16:10

no it doesn't and i resent your suggestion that my.relarionship with my grandma wasnt l that just because i dont care for her dated antiquated name xxxxxxx

Go ahed and call your kid moany joany then.

xx

FreeNiki · 21/05/2017 16:12

lively....it rhymes with moan. whats lively about it? Confused
its only her middle name so she only has to be embarrassed of her passport i guess.

ErrolTheDragon · 21/05/2017 19:16

So what if Joan rhymes with 'moan'? It also rhymes with tone, hone, and a load more irrelevant words.

Indigo Joan sounds somewhat like Indiana Jones, bet you don't go 'meh, Indiana Moans'. Grin(if you do, well frankly that's your problem)

I agree with Errol. And anyhow:

Iris - Clitoris
Lydia - Chlamydia
Syphilis - Phyllis
Tansy - Pansy, Chimpanzee
etc...

(Well, those do rhyme in my accent... Anyhow. Joan is lovely imo)

Rockefeller234 · 21/05/2017 19:31

Indigo Child? Wink

CarrotCakeMuffins · 21/05/2017 19:37

The only Indigo I know is a boy too...

Bert2e · 21/05/2017 19:37

I'm on your wavelength Rockerfeller234!!! OP you might want to read up about indigo children - it hasn't got great connotations.

Rockefeller234 · 21/05/2017 19:43

Berte Grin mind boggles. OP what about 'Inigo' instead?

Bert2e · 21/05/2017 19:49

LOVE Inigo!!! Whispers: but it's a boys name :-) Inigo Jones anyone?

MollyHuaCha · 21/05/2017 20:04
