Like it but prefer Eden.

Sadik · 11/05/2017 22:08

I've never heard it as a name, only as the forest in As You Like It. I think it's a great name, strong and easy to remember but unusual. I'd probably assume you were a fan of the play but didn't want to use Rosalind or Celia.

Roseandbee · 11/05/2017 22:10

I really like it, very original but still sounds like a nice name, Eden is lovely too

unapaloma · 11/05/2017 22:14

I would worry about teasing when she's a teen, sounds too like 'harden'...

Ledehe · 11/05/2017 22:15

Arden is a quite deprived area of Glasgow

Twooter · 11/05/2017 22:16

Name of a Midlands school

MumBod · 11/05/2017 22:17

Teenage boys will call her "Ard on".

It's a nice name though.

WeeM · 11/05/2017 22:18

Ledehe- that's exactly what I was going to say too

What Ledehe and WeeM said

If your child is ever likely to spend any time in Glasgow then it's a no from me OP

Essexgirlupnorth · 11/05/2017 22:21

BlueChairs · 11/05/2017 22:27

Love Arden !
Repping it for Bill Shakey

BlueChairs · 11/05/2017 22:28

Auden sounds like odour or Odin

usernjdhkvdgkb · 11/05/2017 22:32

I only know one she is around 45/46 ish now and I remember her being beautiful (older girl we looked up to when we were 15) I remember attending her wedding when I was 15 thinking she was the most beautiful bride ever!

I actually like it, pretty, strong name and much prefer to Eden)which in my area would be classed along the same lines as kaden, Tommy-Lee, Kayla etc

unapaloma · 11/05/2017 22:32

Arloe?

honeybeex · 11/05/2017 22:35

that's a sweet story user!

I originally liked Auden more but thought people might think it's a boys name. Cant use Eden for reasons i won't get into though i do like it. Anyone have any other suggestions that have this sound / theme???????

It reminds me of The House of Arden.

I actually really like the name! I personally don't like Eden.

honeybeex · 11/05/2017 22:39

i like the poet Smile do you mean because he is a male?

OP posts:
CricketRuntAndRashers · 11/05/2017 22:44

Anyhow, similar names...

Maybe Alder, Arbour or Ardith?

Sophronia · 11/05/2017 23:13
