what are some of your favourite non popular girl names / underused girl names? I love elegant but simple names such as Violet and Harper but they are too popular for me :(

spread I know of 5 Harper's under the age of 2. Only 1 Violet though.

woodywoody · 25/04/2017 00:24

Yeah very high on the popularity lists, worried they are "trendy" too

Really? Fair enough. I love Violet but Harper is too harsh sounding.

I like these names.

SpreadYourHappiness · 25/04/2017 00:29

leccybill None of those are underused! They're exceptionally popular.

GreatFuckability · 25/04/2017 00:29

Ophelia? I know someone who named her daughter this recently, but I've not heard it anywhere else.

MintChocAddict · 25/04/2017 00:30

Astrid

Love this name abd would have used it but had boys.

GreatFuckability · 25/04/2017 00:30

Recently I mean. I'm not saying she is the only person to use it ever!

Lucked · 25/04/2017 00:31

leccybill · 25/04/2017 00:31

Raya. I would definitely of used if I had a girl.
I also love and think these should be more popular than they are:
Honor, Liberty, Sadie, Maeve, Tashi, Alicia.
I'm sure there's more.

WhereTheFuckIsMyFuckingCoat · 25/04/2017 06:31

Meredith.

Absolutely adore it. Know one adult called it. No children.

Was first on my girls list every time but had four boys!

EsmesBees · 25/04/2017 07:30

Verity, Cecilia, Cecily, Celeste, Estelle

DirtyDancing · 25/04/2017 08:57

Go back to some of the 70's - 90's names that are not longer used very often:

Felicity
Stephanie
Rachel
Joanna
Verity

Or the olde fashioned names that have not quite made a full come back

Beryl
Audrey
Ada
Nell

SuburbanRhonda · 25/04/2017 09:01

Sylvia / Sylvie
Rosemary

Acunningruse · 25/04/2017 09:06

We have a Lydia, judging by the Hmmfaces I get it's quite unusual

Trills · 25/04/2017 09:14

Nobody can tell you what names are "underused".

Underused is an opinion, it means "rare but I like it".
