Asa Hole Grin I don't know why that made me laugh so much

AliceKlar · 22/04/2017 18:52

Congratulations :) Love Asa. Really do NOT like Duane/Dwayne.

villainousbroodmare · 22/04/2017 18:53

Asa. I really don't like Duane.

AllPizzasGreatAndSmall · 22/04/2017 18:55

Maybe with the correct spelling.

I think the OP's spelling is the conventional way to spell the name.

It's a no from me, but Asa is cool.

BackforGood · 22/04/2017 18:57

I really don't like either of them, but I think it's a personal taste thing.
If you and your partner like them OP, then there isn't a reason that anybody has suggested that make them terrible - they are just unfashionable.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 22/04/2017 19:07

I'm sorry, I don't like Duane.
However, I do like Asa 😄

BertieBiscuits25 · 22/04/2017 19:30

Also think of Dwayne Dibley, and those of us that are old enough to remember Garbage Pail Kids - Clogged Duane

Loyly · 22/04/2017 19:42

I don't like Duane or Asa, sorry OP.

UntilTheCowsComeHome · 22/04/2017 19:45

Congratulations!

Asa is a lovely name.

Duane is not nice. Very 80s.

ImSoUnoriginal · 22/04/2017 19:47

Lol. First thing I thought was Dwayne Dibly, too. So glad I wasn't the only one.
I like Asa better.
Congrats OP. Enjoy the snuggles.

Monkeymarbles · 22/04/2017 19:47

Asa is fab, cute for a little'un but a solid name for an adult.

MiniMaxi · 22/04/2017 19:47

Congrats OP

Asa is lovely!

Monkeymarbles · 22/04/2017 19:49

Ps 4 days old and no picture? Now that's unreasonable, bring us the photo!
Congrats

GreenPuffin · 22/04/2017 20:09

Seems like there is mixed views about Asa, but still much better than Duane! Grin Monkey I'll get a pic in 1 min Smile

Makes me think of guitarist Duane Eddy, but I'm not sure it's an easy name for anyone else to carry off. Perhaps a little to close to Wayne, Shane etc., which are often considered a bit naff. And of course Dwayne Dibley.

I do like Asa, although I've never known any in real life. I've only heard of two - Al Jolson's real name, and an old footballer Asa Harford. I think it sounds quite classy. Do those who are thinking Asa hole not realise it's pronounced Ace-a?

GreenPuffin · 22/04/2017 20:18

Monkey I was struggling to decide which one Grin

Duane???
OP posts:
pissflaps45 · 22/04/2017 20:19

No. It sounds chavvy. I have a boss in work called Dwayne and people always sneer at it

LettuceMash · 22/04/2017 20:21

Asa!

Duane pipe is a shocker.

Fruitcocktail6 · 22/04/2017 20:21

How sweet! Sorry but he is not a Duane at all

GuinessPunch · 22/04/2017 20:22

Love Asa. Duane is a shambles.

countingpigs · 22/04/2017 20:23

Looks like an Asa to me - lovely name!!!

Congratulations Smile

FrenchLavender · 22/04/2017 20:28

Duane is awful. Look at that beautiful baby - how could he possibly be called Duane? Shock

I'm not wild on Asa either. What about Asher?

Or, um.... Dewi. Damien. Bay. Or Solomon. I think he looks like a Solomon.

Squidgling · 22/04/2017 20:47

Not keen on either name personally (I keep on reading Asa as asda) but just wanted to say how lovely your baby is! Chubby little cheeks and all that hair Smile Congratulations!
