Bram.

Saucery · 16/04/2017 09:42

Bram. Really not keen on the others.

Jooni · 16/04/2017 09:44

Love Bram!

Smudddle · 16/04/2017 09:45

Alfons or bram

BikeRunSki · 16/04/2017 09:46

Bram and Guus.

GinIsIn · 16/04/2017 09:49

I'm a mumsnetter. Alfons just reminds me of Balonz I'm afraid....

user1492331071 · 16/04/2017 09:50

Ah, Alfons was one of our favourites!

But isn't Alfons just an alternate spelling of Alphonse?

Gruach · 16/04/2017 09:52

Alfonso and Elbert are both lovely.

How is Guus pronounced? I'm imaging something like Caius. (As in Cambridge college.)

Gruach · 16/04/2017 09:52

(Sorry my phone changed Alfons.)

Lemondrop09 · 16/04/2017 10:30

I like Bram best out of your list, then Guus. Elbert is nice too. Alfonso is my least favourite, but that's just personal preference.

That said, there's nothing wrong with Alfons. It's not horrible, I can't see a kid getting bullied over it etc. If you and your partner love it, go for it.

KoalaDownUnder · 16/04/2017 11:36

Bram

I totally love this name. And the little Bram I know is cute with a hot dad

Sophronia · 16/04/2017 12:29

Bram

JanuaryJuniper · 16/04/2017 13:12

Bram is my favourite followed by Alfons!

Shopkinsdoll · 16/04/2017 13:14

I must be old fashioned but Bram is horrible!

GooseFriend · 16/04/2017 13:14

Brahm - yes I've changed the spelling intentionally

ZilphasHatpin · 16/04/2017 13:15

Alfons!

HoldMeCloserTonyDanza · 16/04/2017 13:15

I think Bram or Alfons certainly travel best in the U.K.

My sympathies, DH and I are from different countries and were living in a third country when we had DD1 - finding a name that worked with all three backgrounds was a nightmare.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 16/04/2017 13:16

Love Bram, but prefer it as a diminutive of Abraham. Gives more options when older. V cool name though Smile

user1492331071 · 16/04/2017 13:18

Why, Goose?

Thanks for the replies

Guus.
Pronounced 'hoos' or 'goose' with a guttural, breathy G.

ChippieFishieHorshie · 16/04/2017 15:13

Alfons or Elbert.

Loyly · 16/04/2017 15:16

Alfons

greeeen · 16/04/2017 18:30

I like bram for a child but find it too cute for a man. Guus is ok, not a fan of any others.

Gallavich · 17/04/2017 09:14

It's a bit funny to come on a UK website and ask about names that are obviously not British names. If you're asking 'which will work best in the U.K.) I get it but British people aren't the best group to comment on your (Dutch?) names!
