I've only ever met one. Is it awful?

One in her twenties.

Lovely name I think for all ages.

MollyHuaCha · 06/04/2017 20:14

Gorgeous name. I also love Juliet, Juliette for a girl and Julian/Jules for a boy.

SwedishEdith · 06/04/2017 20:14

No, it's lovely. Was my great-grandmother's name.

Knew 2 when I was student so they'd be in their 50s now.

SueGeneris · 06/04/2017 20:14

I think it's lovely and fairly timeless.

I also really like the Beatles song.

Yika · 06/04/2017 20:16

Lots of young Julias where I live (a very international environment, not in the UK). Many in my 6 yo DDs school - sometimes several in one class. I personally think it is a very lovely name. I agree with WhiteHair, it is classy and elegant.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 06/04/2017 20:20

Meant to say, I really like Julia/Juliet.

MummyPenguin2 · 06/04/2017 20:20

I know one. She's 30, Canadian, very clever and lovely. I like the name (I like Juliet too)

littlepooch · 06/04/2017 20:20

I know one - she's 32. It really suits her.

This is my image of a Julia - from Brideshead Revisited in the 80s.

Do you know a Julia?

There are a couple of toddler Julia's where I live. Lovely name, not too 'ordinary' but not at all 'far out'. Juliette is also lovely.

LinaBo · 06/04/2017 20:45

Oh yes, reading this thread I remembered I know another 2 from DD's school, both Polish and 7/8 year olds. Grin

MilesHuntsWig · 06/04/2017 20:48

Yep my lovely SIL, so my DD also has it as a middle name.

MaidenMotherCrone · 06/04/2017 20:50

The one I've met was known as Dewdrop by family and Jules by friends.

Yes, ranging in age from 8 to 75. I think it's a lovely name.

LBOCS2 · 06/04/2017 20:56

I know one very cool Julia who is an interior designer and lovely and extremely capable. She's probably in her late 40s, early 50s now.

I also have a 4yo Juliet, who is funny and smart and beautiful. And I'm not at all biased ;)

Wayfarersonbaby · 06/04/2017 20:57

I know a few Julias in their late 30s/early 40s, and a baby Julia - it's a lovely name. Very classic!

DizzyDigestive · 06/04/2017 21:02

I know 1 Julia who is about 53. My DS is Julian.
I prefer Juliette but Julia is still a nice name

ShoutOutToMyEx · 06/04/2017 21:06

I love the name Julia. Really pretty.

garmsfresh · 06/04/2017 21:29

Bellaposy · 06/04/2017 21:33

I know a beautiful little Julia born yesterday Smile

Queensparkles · 06/04/2017 21:43

I don't know any!

CactusFred · 06/04/2017 21:46

I do and she's 44!

YerTiz · 06/04/2017 21:48

I know an 18 month old Julia. Must admit it felt unusual when I heard it at first, but it suits her and she's a darling.
