Yes or no?

It seems like a really sweet alternative to Isabelle/Isabel/Isobel etc...

I personally prefer Isolda (Isolde sounds imo very old in German, but that probably/maybe doesn't apply to the UK?).

But Isolde is imo really nice as well :)

BossWitch · 26/03/2017 20:19

Yes from me!

Yika · 26/03/2017 20:19

Yes. Beautiful. I know an Iseult which is also lovely.

qumquat · 26/03/2017 20:21

I think it's gorgeous!

FancyPantsDelacroixTheFirst · 26/03/2017 20:22

Lovely.

Knifegrinder · 26/03/2017 20:23

I love it. Slightly prefer to Iseult spelling, but either is lovely.

Knifegrinder · 26/03/2017 20:23

THE Iseult spelling, sorry.

florascotianew · 26/03/2017 20:29

Isolde - with the final 'e' prounounced - is very nice. But , as others have said, Iseult or Yseult is perhaps even better. Just a matter of personal opinion, however.

Sabistick · 26/03/2017 20:31

Lovely, a great choice.

Fattycowagain · 26/03/2017 20:34

Excellent! We aren't in the UK and pronunciation is a bit different here, but I'm happy to hear it would work well in the UK too. Same with the name of our oldest, ends with an -e that is not pronounced in the UK, but is over here.

Lovely, great choice. It'd love to go for it for DD but it's been vetoed by my husband.

Such a classy name.

MaryWortleyMontagu · 26/03/2017 20:39

I love it but I am pronouncing it the same as "isolda" as in the wagner opera tristan and isolde. If it's supposed to be pronounced as "is-old" then it sounds unfinished to my ears.

PlymouthMaid1 · 26/03/2017 20:40

Lovely. Think the name is current!y being used for the Pagan Queen in The Last Kingdom but she is a cool character although her head gets cut off in battle.

MitzyLeFrouf · 26/03/2017 20:44

I like it.

Rockaby · 26/03/2017 20:53

Yes, yes, yes! I know one little Isolde and she is completely adorable.

I also like the Tristan and Isolde connection.

Sophronia · 26/03/2017 20:58

I like it but it does sound a lot like "is older" or "is old".

ThoraGruntwhistle · 26/03/2017 20:59

I like it. I prefer Iseult but Isolde is also lovely.

Curioushorse · 26/03/2017 21:03

Not a completely happy story, is it? Apart from that though, gorgeous!

lottielonsdale · 26/03/2017 21:04

It's my name. I changed it though Blush

Jooni · 26/03/2017 21:05

Yes, beautiful!

Rockaby · 26/03/2017 21:08

curioushorse

Fair point...

goodpiemissedthechips · 26/03/2017 21:10

I also prefer Iseult, though it's not what you asked Wink

n0ne · 26/03/2017 21:10

Beautiful!

SuperBeagle · 26/03/2017 21:12

I don't like it at all.

DramaAlpaca · 26/03/2017 21:12

Love it
