All time least favourite names

Mine are anything flowery for a girl e.g. Posey, Poppy, Lily etc as well as the old woman names such as Mable and Dorothy
For boys I hate the Aidan, Hayden, Caden thing at the moment and overly posh sounding names such as Finius and Montague.

None of our names have come up yet, except Amelia, which was my grand mothers name and I think is lovely. In Latin it means industrious and striving.

Not sure in which language it means without limbs,,,she had all four,,honest...saw them with my own eyes,,,

Totally over used where I live. It's all Lacey-Mae, Aiva-Mae, Gracie-Mae etc.

the difference is that if I met someone with one of these names I wouldn't tease them about it or point out that I disliked it! But everyone has name preferences. If I saw people listing my own name in a 'worst names' thread online I wouldn't be offended; if they went out of their way to tell me in person that they hated it then I might be.

I came on to the thread fully expecting names I like to be on here (for example, I love Mabel too). Yes, it might seem like a "pointless" thread, a way to pass the time, but spiteful? Not really IMO, you know what to expect with threads like this... even the favourite names threads have people stating their dislike for a name.

OP would actually dislike both choices of mine as they are old fashioned and another PP stated that they did not like Seth....

That's fine, I have a feeling that they may be martmite names but me and DH like them so there we go.

And Lola, I agree, I'm not too keen on Rachel myself but it was the name I was given. That's life.

Oh for goodness sake, the hyphenated name comes up again. My name is hyphenated and I'm perfectly happy with it.

It just seems like such unnecessary negativity. God knows we've had enough in recent days.
