Sorry, but I really don't like either name. Your son has to have this name all his life, it might be topping the heights of 'unusual names' which a small minority may think are cool at the moment, but give it five, ten years, and they will be topping the embarrassment charts.

I love both. One is DS1's middle name (was very nearly his first name but just missed out).

I think Atticus goes better with Otis (also an awesome name, btw)

Dontrocktheboat · 06/03/2017 22:18

Cassius is ok.

Atticus I find a bit try hard.

Thecontentedcat · 06/03/2017 22:35

RedBugMug · 06/03/2017 22:38

prefer cassius.
atticus sounds like a mocked cassius to me.

Joinourclub · 06/03/2017 22:51

I really like Cash. I think Atticus is too try hard.

MistressMolecules · 06/03/2017 23:09

Atticus definitely, love that name. Really not keen on Cassius at all.

jolene900 · 06/03/2017 23:25

CASSIUS is lovely!!!!!!

Sophronia · 07/03/2017 00:38

Cassius

Buntysoven · 07/03/2017 00:41

Much prefer Cassius

SuperBeagle · 07/03/2017 05:03

Cassius will get pronounced at least two different ways depending on the person: cass-ee-us or cash-us.

Atticus is the name everyone goes for when they thinking they're choosing something unique. I can't stand it.

Ditto!!!

Cassius at a pinch. Not a fan, as 'Cash' sounds like an American footballer.

ScarlettFreestone · 07/03/2017 05:41

I prefer Atticus but think it's quite hard to say with Otis.

HollyBollyBooBoo · 07/03/2017 06:00

Both truly awful and make me think the parents are trying hard to be cool and different. Please rethink!

NapQueen · 07/03/2017 06:13

Neither. Otis is a brilliant name. I think it needs a short sibling name to go with it.

Otis and Rex
Otis and Ted
Otis and Sid

KoalaDownUnder · 07/03/2017 06:20

I know twins called Otis and Henry, which I love.

Gummibears · 07/03/2017 06:57

I love both Cassius and Atticus and don't find them unusual at all. They're old classic beautiful names!

thisagain · 07/03/2017 07:01

I quite like Cassius but less keen on Atticus - it seems like an old man's name to me. However, I do like the shortening Ati and know I would warm to it if I knew someone I liked called it.

Notso · 07/03/2017 07:03

Love both, and Otis.

I think I prefer Cassius slightly because of the nn Cas, Atticus is still fab.

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 07/03/2017 07:08

Both are awful, sorry.

Atticus

RuthB4 · 07/03/2017 08:35

I really dislike both, I'm sorry. But out of the two Cassius is slightly better.

reuset · 07/03/2017 09:18

At gunpoint I'd choose Cassius, it's not that bad really but that's the best I can say.

Atticus - oh how literary we are! The populist favourite book choice in the last few years, however.

ScarletSienna · 07/03/2017 10:28

Like both. Atticus marginally more though. Great choices!
